What style wood for grips?

Is there any difference in durability/longevity?

 

I like the walnut, the first and 3rd pics of the dark, tight-grain walnut. But, it's just personal preference.

 

What kind of gun? Should I assume AK?

I'de assume both woods would wear the same as far as durability.

Brown wood on a stainless gun always looks weird to me. I have this dilema with my Sig 239 SAS. Check out these for your CZ82 Dark Grey Ash Wood. They would be a nice contrast to the stainless.
