TACTICAL PISTOL COURSE Starts 9:00 am Sharp This course will serve as an introduction to Tactical Pistol Shooting for the novice shooter. The course will begin with the fundamentals of shooting on the move into tactical pistol shooting drills. Topics covered to include safety, fundamentals of shooting, drawing, multiple targets, shooting positions, shooting on the move, shooting behind cover, moving with a loaded weapon, and basic building search technique. Equipment needed by student: Pistol, holster, 3 magazines, magazine holders, 400 rounds pistol ammo, (we would recommend no reloaded ammo) wraparound eye protection, ear protection, rain gear, water bottle, cleaning kit, clothing for weather for that season. This is an intensive skills building course and while the goal is to learn and have fun, safety is the most important aspect. TACTICAL SHOTGUN COURSE – Class Starts at 2:00 pm Sharp Gun For Hire Tactical Shotgun Course Level 1 The shotgun is considered to be one of the best, if not the best, close quarter weapons you can use. While most everyone has a shotgun in their inventory, most owners never receive the proper training in how to employ the shotgun in a close quarter environment. The course will cover proper use of the shotgun in a close quarters environment. The course will start out with the basics and then progress into high level shooting drills. The class will culminate with a live-fire building search scenario. Upon successful completion of this course, the student will have a better understanding of how to employ a shotgun and how critical it can be in a close quarters shooting incident. Topics covered to include: Building Search Techniques with the Shotgun Equipment Required: Shotgun; sling; pistol; belt-mounted holster for the pistol; 50 rounds pistol; 75 rounds of trap shot; 50 rounds 00 buckshot; 20 rounds of slugs; ammunition holders (side saddle, belt pouch) – we strongly recommend a dump pouch to carry additional rounds to the firing line; eye and ear protection; rain gear; and clothing appropriate for weather forecast; hydration system (water bottle or camelback) Due to the intensive nature of the course, NO spectators are allowed. Only staff and participants will be allowed on the range. Anthony P.
