My response to the Mt. Laurel Telegraph

Recommended Posts

It's easy to write anti:

Ignore all facts to the contrary

Exercise uninhibited hyperbole

Create illusory statistics to support your arguments

Dismiss all statistics from the other side as fabrications

Exaggerate to the point of absurdity all facts that support your position

Plea for the imagined safety of unarmed citizens

Create a fear of guns in the minds and hearts of anyone who will listen

Much more difficult to write in support of our side. We tend to be honest and straightforward. It's been the reason for our continued defeats.

ETA:

Bryan doesn't write that well.

The FACTS are:[/font]

Brian Aitken IS a criminal, and he DOES belong in prison, though the length can be argued.

Please call Governor Christie and ask him to release Brian ASAP.

Thank you.

Sorry Frank, had to fix that for you. Lets keep our facts straight here.

Found it, it's the Mt. Laurel Telegram, not telegraph:

http://mtlaurel.elauwitmedia.com/2010/12/14/family-speaks-out-in-gun-case/

The relevant part of the article to this discussion:

...

There was a rally previously scheduled for last Sunday, but it fell through.

Sue said her family received a letter New Jersey Second Amendment Society President Frank Fiamingo wishing to have a rally in support of Brian.

Her husband and Fiamingo exchanged many emails and phone calls, Sue said.

Sue said her son was excited about the rally, but the more he got wind of the schedule of events, the more uninterested he and his family became about the event.

Sue said her and her husband would not have been allowed to speak at the event.

“The agenda of what was going to happen…it became more and more seemingly political,” Sue said.

The family said they still want to hold a rally in Brian’s name, one with Brian’s agenda in mind.
