asianassassin55 0 Posted January 7, 2011 I just cleaned my smithy and went shooting today and after about 50 rds it started jamming. The shell gets caught in the barrel and doesnt eject. It is all the way up in the chamber and its not catching on the way back. Any ideas?
Pew Pew Plates 358 Posted January 7, 2011 So the shell is remaining in the chamber and the slide comes back, picks up another round and trys to stuff it in the back of the fired round? Could be a few things Broken extractor claw Dirty chamber Weak extractor tension Bad ammo I'de clean out your chamber real good, look at your extractor, and try some different ammo and see what happens. If that fails its probably extractor tension. How many rounds through the gun? Also, do you have a 39 or a 39-1 or 39-2? The 39 extractors are a PITA to find replacements for! If you have a 39, putting a round in the chamber and smashing the slide closed over it will do a number on your extractor.
PK90 3,570 Posted January 8, 2011 Extractor is worn. I replaced about 20 in my career.
