.22lr Coversion

Does anyone have experience with this conversion?

What I really want to know is will I mess up my rifle shooting alot of .22 through it?

I have heard after you shoot .22 to put a few .223 rounds through it to blow out all of the carbon and excess lead.

I have the SS CMMG kit. It works flawlessly, No breakin needed. I've never did the clean out .223 shots after using and have no issues.

It won't hurt you gun.

 

CMMG used to sell 15 rd mags too.

every gun is different. some will jam constantly, some will run fine. a forum member had a kit that jammed almost every other shot. i put the same kit in mine, and it jams every other mag. i used that kit, my upper, and some else's lower, and it ran 100% without a hitch. conv. kits are extremely finicky. if you get one that works well, good luck.

I know with the CMMG kit you need a rounded hammer in your lower or you run the potential of a jam-o-matic.

Spikes recommends hot ammo in their conversions. I know people have good results with Federal.
