Bought this recently with an Amazon gift card to store my pistol when I'm out of the house/not carrying it. It comes with 3-digit combo lock and a cable that you can attach to something tough. It's shell is made of 20ga steel and is quite sturdy, got it for $37 on Amazon with free shipping (prime membership).

 

Inside, I was able to fit a Glock 21SF w/ a TRL 1 and a spare mag.

This thing is great for storing a firearm in a bedroom or in a night stand where you keep it. It's cheaper than an electronic Gunvault, and the form factor is a lot smaller for those of us who don't have a lot of room to put such a thing. The 3 digit dial is easy to use, but would be very difficult to read at night or under stress. The unit is obviously not heat resistant or water resistant. Cable lock is very sturdy, and would be great if I had something to attach it to... :icon_mrgreen:
