Parkerized Mossbergs

I have been looking at shotguns for HD and fun at the range. I went through the 870 vs 590 debate already by reading the threads, I like the 590 but I dont know anything about the parkerized finish. Does anyone here own a gun with this finish? Is is worth it? special care needed? also is there a round limit in NJ for pump shotguns, I read over the assault law again it just seems to cover semi auto.

Parkerizing is a good finish you just need to keep it oiled. There is no round limit for nj pump action shotguns, nor is there a regulation as to what kind of stock can be used.

Go with the parkerized mossbergs, it's a tool not a designer bag.

I have the regular finish, my cousin has the parkerized. The Parkerized is a lot nicer. The only one I would think about getting over the parkerized is the Mariner, which is a stainless finish. I do love stainless

I can personally attest to the finish on the mariners. I know someone who has kept on on their boat for over 5 years without any maintenance besides yearly wipe down with clp and there has been no rust yet.
