joeyd50 0 Posted December 8, 2011 What do you prefer for deer 12 or 20 ga? Thanks Joe
Jon 264 Posted December 8, 2011 20ga is fine, as evidenced by NJDiverTony knocking one down at 130yds. I still like 12ga. Some call me a masochist.
NJdiverTony 27 Posted December 11, 2011 20 gauge is great for deer! Like j0n mentioned, I dropped one right where it stood from 130 yards away with my H&R USH. The H&R is very accurate and also cheaper than the 220. I know the 220 is a very good gun too, but I'd rather save a few bucks and go with the H&R. Put a nice scope like a Nikon prostaff shotgun hunter with BDC on the H&R and you're good to go for under $500.
