hiker88 22 Posted February 26, 2012 Order it from one of the forum vendors and they will set you up with a NJ legal 15-22.

gurugold 0 Posted February 26, 2012 That flash hider would also have to be removed and replaced with a pinned/welded muzzle break or removed along with the threads. It would probably be easier to purchase the NJ compliant version.
cycleron 0 Posted February 26, 2012 Thanks for the help all. So if I purchased a verison of one of these guns that is not NJ compliant from the factory and made it NJ compliant that would be OK. I guess what I am saying is will I have any issues?
PK90 3,573 Posted February 26, 2012 You will not be able to take possession from a dealer until it is neutered.

I think most people in NJ just buy the NJ compliant model and go shooting. No muss, no fuss, no issues. And it's cheaper than buying online and modifying it. SW99 2 Posted February 26, 2012 Was at NJFG in Rahway yesterday and they had 2 sitting on the rack. The bullet hole had one a few weeks back also. I was about to buy one so I started looking, but decided on building an AR instead. I did shoot it up at RTSP a few weeks back, it is a nice rifle, good weight, and cheap as hell to shoot. By the way... RTSP was $480 and Bullet Hole was 499, didn't ask at NJFG though. G/L

I guess what I am saying is will I have any issues? Paying the extra premium and hassle to affix an aesthetically pleasing brake/comp on a .22 rifle is like spending money on slicks for an 18 second qtr mile vehicle. Just purchase the compliant model - no hassles, no worries.

Plinker 1 Posted February 26, 2012 Use the price request feature here at the forum. I recently requested pricing and had about 5 replies. Prices were close enough that I decided to go wth the closest dealer. Taking it to the range Monday - oh yea! :-)
Nikos 31 Posted February 26, 2012 Well put ! I'm guessing your also on k20a.org? Looked up the site and....no. I reworked my 2000 Grand Prix GTP about 8 years ago (about 350 whp) and kept it as a sleeper. The only giveaway was the lopy exhaust and lack of traction. So, if anything, that car could definitely use slicks to achieve low 12s
cycleron 0 Posted February 26, 2012 Thanks again all. I am just going to buy the complaintant one. I have submitted to the price request.
