New grips for my S&W 617 .22 revolver?

Hi,

 

I would like to replace the factory grips on my S&W Model 617 .22 revolver. These grips of a bit to narrow feeling in my hands.

Any sugguestions for a more beefier rubber grip that will work well and fit my 617?

I'd imagine that Hogue has replacement grip for that gun. They did for my Taurus 94.

It would help to know what grips are on the gun now. Saying the ones it came with is of little help, since S&W switches off every now and then. I prefer Hogues, but that may be what you have. As for rubber grips: Hogue; Pachmayr; Uncle Mike's; Trausch.

They are the original S&W black rubber grips, with the small S&W logo on them, thats all I can tell you.

They are quite thin feeling in my hands, and I would like a more meatier type black rubber grip.

Pachmyr makes a beefier grip for the K frame.

If they are the grips as showm on S&W's website, I think those are Uncle Mikes. Hogues have a bit more of a palm swell, but Pachmayr Grippers are larger yet, as these cover the backstrap...
