gunnarsport 13 Posted February 26, 2012 Hi, I would like to replace the factory grips on my S&W Model 617 .22 revolver. These grips of a bit to narrow feeling in my hands. Any sugguestions for a more beefier rubber grip that will work well and fit my 617? Thanks
this_is_nascar 162 Posted February 26, 2012 I'd imagine that Hogue has replacement grip for that gun. They did for my Taurus 94.

Any sugguestions for a more beefier rubber grip that will work well and fit my 617? Thanks It would help to know what grips are on the gun now. Saying the ones it came with is of little help, since S&W switches off every now and then. I prefer Hogues, but that may be what you have. As for rubber grips: Hogue; Pachmayr; Uncle Mike's; Trausch. Adios, Pizza Bob
gunnarsport 13 Posted February 26, 2012 They are the original S&W black rubber grips, with the small S&W logo on them, thats all I can tell you. They are quite thin feeling in my hands, and I would like a more meatier type black rubber grip.
GRIZ 3,369 Posted February 26, 2012 Pachmyr makes a beefier grip for the K frame.
Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted February 26, 2012 If they are the grips as showm on S&W's website, I think those are Uncle Mikes. Hogues have a bit more of a palm swell, but Pachmayr Grippers are larger yet, as these cover the backstrap... http://www.pachmayr.com/home/gripper-grids.php
lunker 274 Posted February 27, 2012 I had Trausch grips for my Ruger SP101. They are top notch. http://www.gunblast.com/Trausch.htm http://www.trausch.com/form/accueilA.htm
