Link from C N N regarding bear attacks. Is this article bias or true?

Recommended Posts

I think that they drew the wrong conclusion from the research. The issues that they described in the firearm use situations were mostly due to human error/lack of execution.

What I took out of the article was that if you go into bear country, know how to use your gun and practice. Practice reloads, know how to disengage the safety, etc.

If you and a friend are hiking a .22 short could save your life, and you can tell the story how you out ran your buddy with the bullet wound in his leg.

hahahahaha, I laughed out loud.

Any article I take with a grain of salt.

As an avid backpacker, if I could bring a gun backpacking I would. I'd probably bring a shotgun. That doesn't mean that I would not have my handy-dandy bearspray with me, as I always do. And I'd probably use the bear spray before a gun.
