FlyersFan 1 Posted May 6, 2012 Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with ProMag magazines. I was thinking of getting this 15 round mag for the Ruger P90 that I just got from Paul at Arms-N-Ammo, and wanted to see if they were reliable or pieces of junk before I ordered one. Thanks! robot_hell 72 Posted May 6, 2012 I had two AR-15 mags by promag.. Neither would feed properly. I have no experience with the linked mags, though.
DirtyDigz 1,812 Posted May 6, 2012 Don't know about those mags in particular, but in general would not rely on them for duty or home/self defense use. Would consider them for range duty. Have a few Promags I bought for my GSG5. The magazine springs were considerably weaker than stock springs and wouldn't feed reliably. Once I replaced the promag springs with OEM springs they worked fine.
matty 810 Posted May 6, 2012 Promags are cheap, and you get what you pay for, IOW, mostly CR AP

FlyersFan 1 Posted May 8, 2012 Thanks a lot for the advice guys, I really appreciate it. For the price, I might order one and see how it functions before ordering more.
