JTQ911 2 Posted May 16, 2012 After years of buying/modding/collecting 1911's I gave in to my want to an AR. Specs so far: - 16" BCM Lightweight Mid Length Up Receiver, 1/7" twist - BCM Blem Lower receiver from G and R Tactical - B5 SOPMOD Stock - Geissele G2S trigger - BCM Mod 0 grip - Magpul MOE handguards (Not sure about these, but I want to stay lightweight) - Battle Comp - Troy Rear BUIS Pictures to follow once compliance work is done!. DevsAdvocate 112 Posted May 16, 2012 Terrible. For someone who collects 1911s, I woulda thought you would've bought something historically similar, like a M1903 or M1 Garand... :-P

Those are some nice specs. I've posted this chart a couple times. It's actually surprising that the MOE Handguards aren't the lightest. https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0Ajl2UPK0UHPscHdzd2hlZ2hOUXNGblVaTWtaTkYyRFE&gid=0 Check out the Midwest Industries SS-Series Gen 2, 12". It's even lighter and it's sweet looking with just the top rail. Oh, btw... Grant is top notch.
