EO1986 1 Posted November 6, 2012 I don't know if anyone else mentioned this to you, but another law NJ has is that if you move here you have to burn all your Flyers stuff and buy new Devils stuff. Thats only true north of Trenton!

medic2264 11 Posted November 6, 2012 Eh? Why is it amazing? It was the law of all 50 states up until the 2004 expiration of the Federal Assault Weapons Ban. NJ's is just permanent. IIRC I think it was governor Florio that signed the NJ assault weapons ban into Law. One other over looked law concerning the "Colt Match Target Rifle" (you can't really own an AR15 in the peoples republic of Jersey) is no lower receiver can be marked: "AR15" or "M4" if its marked like that, its considered an assault weapon. Its in the fine print of the 2C:39 or 58 section. I confirmed this with the NJSP firearms unit. So you can have the same receiver, made to the same specs, exact same dimensions, but if it is marked something different like "Z4" or "AR17" its not an assault weapon. Couldn't you find a house on the PA side of the Delaware River and just commute.
