Ranges to shoot .308?

Hey all I recently applied for my fid and am looking at buying a Stevens .308 rifle as my first firearm.

 

I know many places restrict certain calibers but where can I shoot a .308 indoors/outdoors? I'm in central jersey not that far from pa

Althought I'm not sure where "Central NJ" and "not that far from pa" put you.

 

If your close to PA, you could also buy a hunting license and use their WMA ranges.

RTSP - Public Indoor 25yd

Cherry Ridge - Membership Outdoor up to 300yd

Bullet Hole - Public Indoor 23yd

 

All of these allow rifle caliber.

You don't HAVE to have a hunting license to use the PA State Land ranges. You can purchase a range usage permit $30/year.

Focus more on the outdoor ranges. Shooting a .308 indoors at 25 yards will provide limited fun after the first couple of rounds.
