mipafox 438 Posted October 28, 2012 I don't think I can watch all 13 minutes of Gary and Barry. But I can tell you this. Some of my guns are definitely evil.
Recon Racoon 49 Posted October 28, 2012 I usually find what they have to say insightful in some way or another, but there are only so many ways you can say the same thing before it gets old, you know.
Sivl32 27 Posted October 28, 2012 yeah I just liked what they said from 7:50 on, the rest was just kinda redundant. So if you feel 13 minutes is too long just watch from 7:
ShoreZ11759 0 Posted October 29, 2012 You can easily defeat people in many arguements by breaking it down to origins of the issue and dragging them into areas they never though of or don't understand. You can do this with anything: guns, religion, politics, gay marriage, abortion. Saying "America!" "be American!" "it's your right" "we've always had this so we should still have them" are horrible, horrible ways to talk to someone about guns. Talk about why someone is mad about guns (and they are usually angry about something that has happened to someone) and figure out what they don't understand. Try to educate them as opposed to 'standing up for your your 'entitlement' " The same constitution that banned alcohol is the same that gives us the right to have guns; it's subject to issues. Don't stand behind merely the 'right' you have to ow;, earn the right to own one.
Blue1 1 Posted November 4, 2012 The same constitution that banned alcohol is the same that gives us the right to have guns; it's subject to issues. You can't compare the amendment to ban alcohol to the ease with which guns could be outlawed. The right to gun ownership is a right written into the Constitution, there was never a right in the Constitution to consume alcohol. I agree with your other points; it is always better to be diplomatic with those that are naive or ignorant of the issue, rather than be confrontational.
