LA Police Gear donates profits this weekend to Red Cross

Starting at Midnight and ending midnight 11/4/12. All profits from this weekends sale will go to the Red Cross.

 

 

 

 

I'm sure lots of people on here are saving money to repair storm damage, or are saving up for a generator.

 

But I thought I'd pass this along. It's nice to see companies doing good things.

 

Gonna buy a few more pairs of the operator pants.

Its a very nice thought. But a large amount of the donations go to the salaries of the ranking members of the red cross and not where its needed. As a matter of fact the Staten Island Borough president was ripping the red cross today for being a big no show in the disaster.

I've always been very leery of donating to charity b/c of articles like this http://abcnews.go.co...=1#.UJRkN0LD-M8 . I know not every chapter is like this but it makes me wonder. Being from NJ we all have the ultimate opportunity to donate by either driving to an area and giving water, gas or just a few hours help with clean up. I'm not against giving to charity. I think everyone should if they could, just know where every cent of your donation is going.
