bry@n 195 Posted November 4, 2012 My dad used his Iphone to call 911 for help during the hurricane. In the process, it got wet during the rescue. My dad lost everything; my brother and I took it upon ourselves to ask Apple what they can do for him. Apple, helped out by basically sending my dad a new iphone 4s as a replacement for his damaged iphone 4s. Basically sending him a phone as if he had Applecare +, but he didn't have any coverage at all on his phone. People can say what they want but Apple came through for us. We tried to get Sprint to release him from his contract as a result of the hurricane, but they wouldn't hear of it. We may pay more for an Apple product but it's the service they give you that sometimes pushes you one way or another.
