2 and 4 gauge muzzleloaders

Recommended Posts

Punt shotguns were used by market hunters years ago. Usually mounted in the bow of a sneakboat, they would paddle quietly up to a gaggle of ducks or geese sitting on the water and pull the trigger. One shot would net a flock of fowl to take to market.

Ever see Steve Zihn's 2-bore he built some years ago? (2-bore or 2 gauge means a payload weighing half a pound.) It was built for a left-handed customer who planned to take it on safari.

Hey welcome back Dave. I guess your son came through for you.

Yes he did Rob, and a nice tower he put together for me and the Mrs.! Such a nice son he is too! We went to OB today and he got to watch his Old Man shoot another "leg" of the NRA Distinguished Expert in Muzzleloading Pistol: 166x200! So that makes 3 out of 5 needed for the Rank.....perfect weather today too!

Hope to see you soon!

Dave
