Saiga 12 Quad Rail?

Recommended Posts

Hey I might have asked this /posted this before but I can't recall, so forgive me for a potential re-do...

I am interested in getting a quad rail for a Saiga 12, I assumed I would be able to buy a Midwest Industries but it looks like they make quad rails for all the Saiga rifles, the Yugo/PAPs etc, even making one for Vepr now, but not Saiga-12s?

I would really prefer not going the Ultimak route, its like $100+ for the top rail, plus $220+ for the other 3 sides / tri rail. I know Ultimak is the best, but when you factor in I need this rail but then am adding a Streamlight, a Lasermax, an Aimpoint/EOTech, and an AFG, I would really rather not spend $350 on the rail/handguard itself.

Anyway is there a solution to this I just haven't found? Thanks.

Hey I hear you that you get what you pay for and Ultimak is the best but there has to be a happy medium out there.

And yeah I need a quad rail, I gave the S12 to my old man for Christmas, and he is psyched and wants to do it up, we are planning on an optic up top, a Streamlight TLR-1HP on one side, a green laser (maybe the Lasermax Genesis ) on the other side, and a foregrip (Prob the Magpul AFG but maybr somthing else) on bottom, so the four sides on the quad rail would be pretty useful.

Now I am not being rude here , but other than the opinions to get Ultimak, is there any others you know of guys or all you know of is the Ultimak?

I know of the Ultimak 'gas tube rail', the UTG quad rail and the ChaosUS Titan rail.

The UTG is junk. The aluminum is too soft.

The Chaos needs a bit of fitting at the gas block area (or your gas block) for the rail system to sit level. Top rail pivot point makes the mounting of red dot/magnifier combo difficult. Quality is first rate though. Requires removal of sights.

Ultimak GB rail also requires removal of the stock sights and drilling/tapping of the GB and FSB in order to fit. Quality is excellent.
