FamilyMan 0 Posted January 19, 2013 Check out the NJ State Police site: http://www.njsp.org/info/pdf/firearms/062408_title13ch54.pdf It contains all of our state firearms laws, and starts with the below words (note the expiration date). I wonder if this is really why Essex County has stopped doing searches for P2P. I'm not sure if I want them to have renewed this Chapter 54 or not. If not then we are on Federal Laws only, but try to convence an FFL of that, and if not then are they going to put something worse in??? Does anyone know of more/better info on this? Maybe they just have an old version posted. For now everyone is following Chapter 54. I do see that they were previously readopted by Executive Order (maybe that's what happened this time). KpdPipes 388 Posted January 19, 2013 We REALLY need to sticky this so that people understand that the Expiration date of the Administrative code, DOES NOT MEAN the AWB itself "Expired"
plode 0 Posted January 19, 2013 Either way...now it says: expires on November 13, 2014.
Eric M 0 Posted January 20, 2013 So what does this mean, then?
Qel Hoth 33 Posted January 20, 2013 So what does this mean, then? Nothing. The section of the NJAC expired, and has since been renewed. Even if it hadn't been renewed, 2C:39-1w has no expiration date, and the AWB will not go away unless repealed.
Eric M 0 Posted January 20, 2013 I'm asking more about what's it used for. Google didn't turn up anything I could decipher.
Qel Hoth 33 Posted January 20, 2013 It's the AG's guidance and interpretation of the statute.
