Any one have trouble renewing pistol permits?

I have to go through the red lion state police to renew permits, I have 2 that are going to expire in a few weeks. In the past as long as they were submitted before expiration they renewed them . But now things have changed they tell me gun permits are up over 300% and Im worring they might tell me no.

I just dropped one off at my local pd. hopefully a day or two tops. My wife renewed one of hers a couple weeks ago and they called her to come pick it up before she got home. YRMV

Renewed two in Summit NJ, Police Chief was very nice and did it while I waited.

Unfortunately, you're indicating you have to go through the NJSP for a possible extension. I have not personally heard of anyone getting an extension from them on a permit. They may, but they are historically slower with FPIDs and P2Ps than most local PDs.
