Gun buyback planned for Atlantic County; 5,300 weapons collected in state since December

Atlantic County’s first gun buyback in more than two years is planned for later this month, with dropoff points in Atlantic City and Pleasantville.

If you go to intercept potential sellers, not only have your own FID but also the COE to fill out on yourself.

I can't believe law enforcement goes along with these buy-backs. It creates a legitimate market for stolen guns, and that is all. No criminal who uses a gun is going to give up the tool of his trade. Also no legit gun owner is going to fork over something they can get 2x-5x for from a dealer or private party. That $250 is the reward we tax payers are giving to theives and murderers.

Attorney General Chiesa Announces Two-Day “Guns for Cash” Buyback Initiative for Residents of Atlantic County www.nj.gov/guns

TRENTON – Continuing a statewide effort to reduce gun violence by taking deadly firearms out of circulation, Attorney General Jeffrey S. Chiesa announced today that a state-sponsored gun buyback program for residents of Atlantic County will be held at churches in Atlantic City and Pleasantville on March 22 and 23.
