Fair price for powder

What is a fair price for Unique powder these days? Anyone see any available locally?

I haven't bought Unique, but the pounders I've been buying have been running ~$30....although Salomon's still has the best prices. I paid $23 there.

I have a local person that wants to sell me an 8lb jug for $240. At $30 per lb, it is in line with the going rate, but 8 pounds is really more than I need, and no break on the price buying 8 at a time. Midway list it for $125 when they have it in stock (plus hazmat fee and shipping of course). Any interest is splitting the jug?

You should be getting a break buying an 8 pounder.


At this point...I don't think there is such a thing as "more than you need".

That's a bit much. Unless you're really desperate for it, $30 a pound is way more than I'd pay for Unique.  Powder Valley has it listed for $106, even with 27.50 hazmat and $13 shipping, that still comes out to ~$150.

He does have stock. It does change very fast given the current market.  You would have to go in person.  Yes, it is possible he would be out of something at any given point in time.
