When do you think ammo prices will be back to normal?(poll)

Wife just came from Kittery Trading Post.... there was plenty of ammo there, except 22lr.    Primers are there.

Cabelas had shelves full of pmc .223 55gn. Plenty of .17, some 9mm, plenty of bulk 308 and some Winchester 5.56. The Winchester was pricy (11.99), the pmc was post election/per newtown (8.99), but you are limited to 5 boxes per caliber.

 

There seemed to be a bunch of .380 defensive ammo too.

 

I look on gunbot.net an see that there is stock for what used to be common ammo, but it is at ridiculous prices. I think that once things settle to the new norm (I saw 10 to 15% higher, I think more like 25%), these newcomers on gunbot and the price gougers like ctd will be forced to drop down to these prices. I, fortunately, hoarded before newtown, but would like to send more ammo downrange than I am today. I shoot regularly, but not as much as I did in the past. My accuracy has improved though, because I am looking to enjoy my time, so that's a plus.
