Look at this forum and see how often people rail against liberals, illegal immigrants, non-religious, etc.  Look how often (in this thread included) the conversation is about "who's fault is it that the golden times are gone".  You can see this in post after post. 

 

Everyone has a bias, but I find it remarkable how people who are willing to defend their rights to own guns are blind on how often they propose they infringe on other people's rights in one way or another.

Now you are on a whole different subject.... Illegal immigrants are totally in the wrong.... They are wrong because they ignore the law from day one...

 

The reason people complain about liberals is because most liberals support laws they disagree with.... But liberals and conservatives are guilty of the same across the board...

 

Liberals will scream about stupid gun owners that cling to religion...

And conservatives will scream about socialist anti American liberals..

I don't personally care about minorities, or have any ill feelings based on race... I spent a chunk of my life living exactly how you described... Hating... Till one day I realized it was illogical.....

We can barely afford to run our nation and we are fighting wars over seas... Creating intricate health care systems that we have no idea how to implement... Some would argue that was the point where everything really started to go awful... A time where it was cooler to be a strung out drug addict touring with a band... With no job.... Useless.... There was some point in time where society decided the pride in working a hard honest living just wasn't that important...

Luckily my time period hasn't expired, so I still listen to all types of music. I'm not pigeon-holed to any generation when it comes to music. And I am pretty open minded, with one college daughter who plays piano, and her older brother the eldest son who has been playing guitar for twelve years now; so I hear everything that's current in my household. My house would rumble during practice sessions when the electric guitars were cranking Coheed & Cambria covers.

 

Remember too that many of those hip, cool drug users are now professors in colleges teaching young minds, or have served in Senate and House seats, or just may have been/are the POTUS.

at some point in our nation... we produced.. we built great things.. and worked hard... people cared... and later at some point before I was born people stopped caring... people lost scope of the big picture...  they decided they wanted what was in it for them..we really need to shake this general sense of apathy.... some idiot friend of an acquaintance posted this quote on her facebook page the other day.. 

" I think careers are a 20th century invention and I don't want one."

she is also one of those people that plans to go to college.. endlessly.. squandering the financial resources of her family to "experience the world" she is a complete and total liability to society... and unfortunately she represents a TON of people.. people who have decided that they are too good to graduate high school and get a job... they are destine for something "better".. our nation really needs to get it together.. we need to get our heads out of the clouds... we need to start teaching our kids the value of honest hard work... it literally blows my mind at times..

also just to add.. the second video.. its entertainment.. and is of no way an indication of life.. and the whole "thug" culture is a product of people turning to crime in urban areas.. "gangster rap" did not create crime... I listen to all types of music.. and hard rap is included in that... rapping about selling drugs.. shooting at people... but I have no interest in doing either of those things.. I also watch ultra violent movies.. and play video games with violence.. but hey... no ill effects...

good for you.. make sure they also don't watch violent movies... or the news for that matter.. may also want to hide every computer in the house... that along with most music from the last 50 years... definitely no video games..  

 

if a child you raise turns out bad due to listening to rap... then your doing it wrong.. 

 

also there is something called age appropriate... obviously a 10 year old kid should not be listening to music about shooting people and drugs... but they should also not be watching movies about it.. or playing video games with that content.. but such is life.. most do.. and there is not much more you can do about it besides teaching them the difference between fake and real.. right and wrong..

For the same reason people in this forum are angry. Do you think that it is easy to be angry as middle class white people? Try being black, poor, mexican, inner city, poor white trash mountain folk, etc. Do you think the people who get treated like cattle by the system are not angry? Some may lack education, some may only know how to milk the system, but they have every reason to be angry. They know the wheels are coming off too, and they express their anger and frustration.

 

I get really annoyed when people on gun forums assume every one not white/conservative/gun-owner/etc is somehow sub human. It is horseshit, because people are people everywhere and have the same feelings, drives, needs, and emotions and they will express those feelings in their art. Instead of focusing on how they are different then you, you should focus on how they are the same and figure out how to reach across the sameness, because being divided is exactly what the government wants you do be.

 

Want to fight the man? Stop allowing yourself to be divided from others over meaningless differences, like what kind of beat they prefer in their music, and LISTEN to what their music is telling you.

If you are going to be honest with yourself.... The reason people are drawn to that is simple... And that is society... How significant is white on black murder? Black on white crime is pretty common... When whites get beaten or killed... It barely makes the news... When a half Latino half white guy legally shoots a black guy the headlines scream "white man shoots black youth" and there are marches in the street... There are countless amazing people in our nation that are not white... But there is a pretty obvious bias against white men... And that is probably the reason so many are "pissed off"... I hope that makes some sense...
