7-3-2 9 Posted November 7, 2013 Eh its not that bad, if it bothers you that much hit it with a Sharpie a couple times and it`ll blend right in, thats what I did on mine Yeah, I figure as long as it doesn't screw up the operation of the gun then what is the point of worrying about it. I also I don't plan on selling the thing so I am starting to be at peace with my little fudge-up. I'll give the sharpie approach a try, thanks.
DeerSlayer 241 Posted November 7, 2013 Testors makes a satin, gloss, or flat black enamel paint marker works well. They sell them at hobby stores or online for model builders. It has a very sharp chisel point or you can flip the tip over for covering a larger area like a chip. Beats a sharpie any day. Sent using Tapatalk 2 NOW FREE!!! DeerSlayer 241 Posted November 7, 2013 Forget those - Use a Gun Blue pen http://www.amazon.com/Birchwood-Casey-PRESTO-BLUE-TOUCH/dp/B002E6R786 I would agree if an AR lower was a blued finish. But its usually magnesium or billet aluminum with a coat of paint over it. Why use anything other than paint to fix a scratch or nick? Sent using Tapatalk 2 NOW FREE!!! Krdshrk 3,878 Posted November 8, 2013 What? The pen works. I've used it on my AR15 upper when I chopped off the bayo lug. I'd say it looks fine.
