Assembled my lower last night, question.

Eh its not that bad, if it bothers you that much hit it with a Sharpie a couple times and it`ll blend right in, thats what I did on mine

Yeah, I figure as long as it doesn't screw up the operation of the gun then what is the point of worrying about it. I also I don't plan on selling the thing so I am starting to be at peace with my little fudge-up. I'll give the sharpie approach a try, thanks.

Testors makes a satin, gloss, or flat black enamel paint marker works well. They sell them at hobby stores or online for model builders. It has a very sharp chisel point or you can flip the tip over for covering a larger area like a chip. Beats a sharpie any day.

I would agree if an AR lower was a blued finish. But its usually magnesium or billet aluminum with a coat of paint over it. Why use anything other than paint to fix a scratch or nick?
