...where is all this money going?

 

A question all of us NJ residents continually wonder.

 

Highest population density, near the highest property taxes, yet the infrastructure and services are somewhere between poor and barely acceptable...

Also why the tolls everywhere?! Seems like everytime I go out - even for groceries - I'm paying a toll - anything from $1.5 to $13 (Lincoln tunnel) - where is all this money going?

The roads, tunnels and bridges with tolls were built from the 20's into the 50's and they said the tolls would be temporary, only for 20-30 years, until the bonds used to finance the construction of those projects were paid off. Well, here we are 60+ years later and the tolls keep going up instead of going away..............and it's any mystery why people don't trust the government?
