Trade 4 AR-15's for 1 Christensen Arm CA-15 Recon

Recommended Posts

So I am thinking about trimming down the total number of AR rifles I have. I purchased 4 stripped lowers last year and felt compelled to complete them. 2 of which I have yet to even shoot.

I'd like to Sell/Trade 4 of the 5 AR's in the picture below for a CA-15 Recon (Approx $2800). I would be keeping the Spikes .22LR.

I would need to get an average of $700 per AR for an even trade. I have more then that into them but not sure what I can expect to get out of them. Everything in the photo is included scopes and sights, ect.

Is this doable???

The 16" CA-15 Recon is guaranteed 1 MOA and under 7lbs so it can fill several rolls. Not to mention it is absolutely gorgeous... I love the carbon fiber barrel. This rifle plus a Tavor SAR B16L would be all I need to add for 5.56 in my collection. A Norinco MAK-90 and Yugoslavian SKS completes my 7.62x39 collection. Followed up with my Keltec Sub-2000 and Remington 870. I truly feel I could close the safe door with no regrets or empty slots that need to be filled

Excellent idea... Found this on ebay cheap.. ;)

5 AR's is just too much... I thought my 14yr old son would be interested but now that he is in high school and has a girl friend it is thought getting him to hang with Dad anymore...

My 11 year old daughter still hang with me but she is corrupted by Hunger Games and only interested in shooting her bow. At ANJRPC the bow range is just up the hill from the .22 range. We do an hours at each then head home about once per month. I'm sure she will be boy crazy in a year or two as well and that will be that... Then begins the wait for grand kids!!!

For that kind of money I'd rather go Noveske.

At least then, it's a known quantity.

    • We never let then inside.  Last re-evaluation was 6-7 years ago, wife politely told him that he was welcome to look around the property and he could look in the windows. He saw two white resin chairs in the basement and told her that this constituted a finished basement. And everything in the basement is bare concrete/ cinder block, and mechanical systems. Nothing finished about it. Ultimately he relented and I'm sure that was a ploy to coerce us to allow him in

    • The  12-1 compression ratio L88 is long gone. This is GM's updated version. it might be  pump gas 10-1 engine The L88 was a aluminum head  cast iron block engine with a nasty solid lifter cam. the  ZL1 was a all aluminum  12 or 13-1 compression ratio engine with the best forged internal parts at the time and had a even nastier solid lifter cam
    • I like my regular carry holster.  OWB leather with belt slots.  I've been carrying for over a year and it was comfortable and I hardly even noticed it.  I carry (usually) a Ruger LCP .380 - light, convenient, tiny. But...today I ended up taking it off an leaving it home after a few hours. I cut down a big maple tree a few days ago and I spent 3/4 of today loading and unloading firewood into the back of my truck and a trailer.  It was a warm day, I was dirty, tired, sweaty, and my holster was rubbing against my side.  The leather and exposed metal snap was no longer comfortable. I'm thinking about adding a layer of something to that part of the holster to soften the contact.  Anything insulating will make it worse.  I don't want a sweaty, hotter holster against my skin.  I'm imagining something thin, breathable, that won't absorb sweat, and softer than leather, metal snaps, and rivets.   But I have no idea what would work. I'm hoping somebody else has already figured this out and I can just do what they did. Any suggestions appreciated.
    • Check the primers on the ammo you didn't shoot yet. Are they fully seated? If the primer is not just below flush with the back of the case, the first hit can seat it better then the second hit ignites it.
