PierWithBeer 0 Posted November 11, 2014 Hi all - I am considering getting a Magpul FCS stock, which is a fixed stock that fits on a carbine buffer tube. I have seen some DIY mods on the internet where folks drill a small notch for the mounting screw in the bottom portion of the buffer tube so that you can mount the stock further back on the tube, as opposed to right up against the lower. The stock is still fixed at this point - but in theory it could be "adjusted" if one removed the screw, put it back in it's normal position, and then screwed it back in. My question is - if I were to do this - is this compliant with NJ Law, or would I be asking for trouble?
