Vertical Foregrip minimum length

Quick question as my search did not turn up the answer - what's the minimum length or does it depend on hand size if I can get my full hand around it, all but pinkie, etc 

guessing there might not be a clear answer as with much of these rules

This would be for a "NJ Other"

There's no minimum length but it must be clearly a grip, not a handstop.  BCM Gunfighter Mod 3 vertical grip is probably the shortest I've seen out there, and that one's just fine.

thanks I have a Mod 3 on my Mossberg500, it's about 2.75", don't see need to go much shorter maybe will shoot for somewhere between 2.5 and 3.5
