  1. http://www.wideners.com has WOLF primers in stock. For AR they say to use the SR magnum primers.
  2. take a defensive handgun course or two, you will learn a lot. Once you take them, you can move on to perhaps a defensive 3 gun course. They teach rifle and shotgun basics, with transitions to handgun from rifle, shotgun, etc. Its amazing what I discovered I didnt know after taking my first formalized training course. Its a whole new world.
  3. rscalzo is dead on. You need to use the purchase permits even if no money exchanges hands. The only other way to do it without the permits is if the guns passed by way of death and estate... not a good option. Best of luck.
  4. WOLF primers at http://www.wideners.com/. If loading for AR consider the SR magnum primers they are harder than the normal 223 (help prevent slamfires).
  5. Well to be fair, I love the GSG too, and the Henry lever action. My spikes 22 AR upper, M1A. Saiga 762. If I had to choose one, it would be my Spikes dedicated 22 for a fun gun. Or for SHTF my Stag with eotech etc.
  6. AR > all others. I own several "others." In before the shitstorm.
  7. .22lr is mandatory. Check out the Ruger 22/45 1911 is nice too.
  8. DA I am assuming you have a welded muzzle brake, and standard handguards. If you are handy, you should be able to cut off the front sight post, remove the handguards. You can install a clam-shell design low profile gas block. I would free float the barrel. Being that you have a welded muzzle device, you wont be able to remove the barrel nut off the back of the barrel. Therefore I suggest you go with Daniel Defense Omega rails. They are free float, and install over the standard barrel nut. I hope this is helpful.
  9. Not that I buy more than 1 HG a month, this is yet another infringement of our rights. Really tired of these corrupt political tactics in NJ, high taxes, and high cost of living. I have a job interview in PA soon - Im out ASAP.

    oh Sorry HG=Handgun.
  11. Effingers had $22 a 550 box of federal champion 22lr last week.

    $300 !

Does hookers and blow count? JUST KIDDING! I just always wanted to use that line. I would buy a 22 cal HG.
  13. You will laugh, but I printed targets from freetargets .com or something, and simply tape them on a medium sized cardboard box. The airsoft shoots THRU the target and through one side of the box. You will see a hole. A good idea is to put some shredded paper inside the box to help catch the BBs and not let them rattle around too much. also after shooting the box abunch, they will start to shoot thru the back. Therefore its good to place shredded paper inside the box. The Greengas guns shoot BBs that travel around 330 fps. Wear goggles.
  14. Hello all: This is NOT legal advice. The part of the code Brick Armory quoted is modified by the following sentence: "A semi-automatic firearm should be considered to be "substantially identical," that is, identical in all material respects, to a named assault weapon if it meets the below listed criteria".... The thing is, there is no named assault weapon even close to a Ruger Charger. Therefore it could not be substantially similar to something not on the named assault weapon list. It would be therefore be legal. Although this is not dispositive, frankly speaking if some shops and people in NJ are buying Chargers in NJ on permits that get filed with the police dept., you would think someone would have been arrested by now for possession of a assault weapon if they were deemed illegal.
  15. having a few firearms secure, but accessible, is not abnormal.
  16. Hello, what are you trying to do? In many instances, a permanently attached muzzle brake or nut will make the barrel no longer threaded. The matter you referenced is not NJ law, it was an ATF runing dealing with flashhiders, etc. I recall seeing that too but it wasnt in NJ.
  17. 1- YES 2- It will not screw you up. Especially helpful with drawing from holsters with a "loaded" pistol that is more forgiving than a real handgun. 3- It you will be doing firing (ie not just drawing), get a green gas gun. 4- It is safe to fire in basement provided no one else is in the basement with you, and you wear goggles. Get a G19 green gas gun. It looks, feels and fires (including similar trigger pull and slide operates) as a real glock. In fact if both were on a table in front of you you would be hard pressed to tell the difference except the red tip. The Glock also have a trigger safety just like a real G19. Check Airsplat.com. Airsofts are not considered firearms in NJ they fire plastic BBs. Real BB handguns are considered firearms in NJ.
  18. For those applying for a FL CCW. FL requires fingerprints be done by a LEO, and you have to list the police dept on the back of the fingerprint card. I had my prints done by a retired LEO, and they bounced those prints 45 days after I submitted them. As luck would have it I was in FL the week after so I got printed at the FL Sheriffs office. Long story short, you need LEO to print you for FL. Many towns will do it for you, many in NJ will not and they outsource to Sagem Morphum (Cant spell it). Im not sure if FL would consider Sagem as a law enforcement agency so if you have to go that route Id call FL to check. Best of luck.

The DE 44 mag is a fun gun. Recoil is less than 6 shooter. Pretty accurate.
