  1. The guy did both, he reported it to Youtube and contacted the FBI. The local FBI visited the guy that reported it very quickly. Nothing happened beyond that. The FBI dropped the ball. This was in interstate (Fed) issue.
  2. But they didn't develop it, Magpul did. No innovation at all from Freedom Group.
  3. Are you kidding about a denial "hindering additional freedoms elsewhere"? You have got to be kidding. Move to a shall issue state, they don't care about a NJ denial. As a matter of fact most don't ask.
  4. I haven’t liked a single gun made by Remington made since they were bought by Freedom Group. The quality is lacking. The only Remington’s I would buy are older pre Freedom Group guns. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. The people that sued and got their permits did not "back off", they lost standing. The ability to sue was taken away from them by the state when the permit to carry (NJ does not distinguish type of carry). It was a smooth legal maneuver by the state. This is why any lawsuit needs a lot of people (1000's) to be denied. The state can easily grant 10's of permits but they cannot simply grant 1000's without destroying their defense mechanism (granting permit to carry to take standing from the plaintiff). Gun owners in NJ always sit on the sidelines and complain while waiting for someone else to carry the burden.
  6. This goes back to the previous thread where I was saying that you have no standing if you haven't been denied. If you haven't been denied, then you cannot show that any harm has been done to you. Nobody has violated your 2nd Amendment rights.
  7. I have looked at this before and it is not a common question for states to ask. Even if you were denied and move to a shall issue state a denial in NJ would not be a factor that would be considered. The only state application I could find with the question is in NH. All you have to do is provide a statement on the back of the form. What do you have to lose?
  8. I believe that the state argued in Drake that the percentage of approvals was high. The problem with your argument above is that there are no numbers that indicate that is true. How can you show that people want to carry them if they aren't applying? I am just trying to use logic here. Emotion loses in court.
  9. I still can't understand why there hasn't been a mass application to force a mass denial. This would show that there is a de facto ban on carry in NJ.
  10. It doesn't matter what happens in other states with respect to number of carry permits issued. The numbers reported by the NJ show that a high percentage of applicants are approved. NJ can show in a quantifiable manner (low number of applicants) that not many people are interested in getting a carry permit. All of the complaining online does nothing to change the numbers. People who have not been denied would have no standing in the argument because you can't show any harm has been done to you if you haven't been denied.
  11. I believe that the actual number of people denied is very low in NJ. This is due to the fact that people just assume that they will be denied (rightfully so). Complaining about the lack of carry permits issued becomes a weak argument without the numbers to back it up. It is very hard to prove that NJ has a de facto ban on carry. The AG just needs to point out the high percentage of permits issued vs denials. The numbers are hard to argue in court, the argument that it would be denied anyway comes off as an emotional argument. Having a lot of denials would add greatly to the argument.
  12. I had no idea about the BN36. Looks like a really interesting rifle. Thanks for posting this.
  13. For my bulk calibers I normally load 500-1000 per. I single stage load precision and hunting loads 20 at a time for rifles with a known load. For new loads, 5 per charge weight.
  14. I see no issue with buying a camper that is titled as a "homemade" trailer in VA. I have owned two sneakboxes in NJ that were titled as homemade and never had any issues registering or selling. A title is a title.
  15. NJ needs a lot more than karma. It is lost. Guns are a real part of the culture here, not so much in NJ.
  16. I am a member of Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL). VA is nothing like NJ. They have a very strong voice in the state. They sent this update: "Overall it was an excellent day for gun owners! A large number of gun bills were heard in the Senate Courts of Justice Committee and the antis didn't fare very well. They got one bill through and it is going to Senate Finance, which is not a good place to be: * 2 pro-gun bills moved forward * 1 pro-gun bill was carried over to next year * 2 pro-gun bills were withdrawn by the patron * 0 pro-gun bills were defeated by the committee * 17 anti-gun bills were defeated by the committee * 1 anti-gun bill moved forward (with 2 other identical bills rolled into it) The two pro-gun bills that moved forward were: 1) Senator Black's SB 48, Constitutional Carry, and 2) Senator Chase's SB 715, which allows firefighters and EMS to carry concealed while on duty with a CHP. Both bills were sent to the Senate Finance Committee, where we will have to fight for them again. All but one of the gun-control bills, including Universal Background Checks which was being pushed hard, went down in flames. A couple of those votes were uncomfortably close as Republican Senator Stuart unexpectedly voted with the Democrats on those two bills. Except for the Fire/EMS concealed-carry bill, the Democrats, sadly, voted wrong on everything: Saslaw, Howell, Lucas, Edwards, Deeds, Petersen. The one anti-gun bill that passed out of committee, a bump-stock ban bill, was greatly narrowed and is headed to the Senate Finance Committee, where there will be another chance to kill it. We will be watching that bill closely."
  17. I don't see how getting broken into is poor planning. That is victim blaming.
  18. I have a 625 and ihave to say that the G21 is the softest shooting of all of them. I have multiple 1911's. a Kahr TP45, P 45. G30, and the G21 is softer than all of the others.
