I know I cant make every one of the meets in Bayonne being so far but I think I will be going there at least once a month. It is worth the drive. I just like the fact that the range is so much roomier. Someone on the board said that the lighting is not that great at Bayonne but I have to disagree. I actually think its better than the BH's lighting.

Yes that is the piece I am talking about. I wouldnt worry about it yet. Maybe just a good cleaning and shooting it some more will help. There are "ports" under that seal drilled into the barrel. Kinda tough to see them but spray some gun cleaner in them. They might be clogged. I wouldnt worry to much. Mossberg has some pretty good customer service when I called them once about a stock.

Hey DA. Congrats on the gun. I have one myself. Quick question about cycling 2 3/4 loads. It should have no problem at all. Did it ever cycle for you ever? If not then the "gas seal" might not be installed properly of not installed at all. Happened to me once when I switched from the rifled barrel to the smooth bore barrel and I forgot to take if off the one barrel.

Getty Ave in Paterson is not that bad of an area. Its right next to Clifton and its mostly industrial buildings.

It was actually the range officer who asked me "Are you part of Jerry's Kids?" I am assuming RayRay is "Jerry" and we are his "kids". I have to say that the last few times I have been there I have been a little disappointed. The reason I have been going 30 minutes early is because of the constant problem with not getting lanes if you get there at 7pm. It used to be very slow on a Tuesday night but now no more it seems. I had asked the range officer if there was a specific night during the week that was better than Tuesday and he said "ITS ALWAYS BUSY HERE" and that we should talk to Manny the owner to find what night is the best night for us to be there. I am leaning towards trying Bayonne out since that range stays open later I can justify the drive out to Ray's neck of the woods. We'll see what happens.

Mahwah is such a pain in the a**. How about that Pilot gas station? The residents were so opposed to a gas station on the highway. Yes that's right folks, the F tards in Mahwah were opposed to a gas station on the highway. They were "concerned" about the safety of the children because the gas station would be to close to the school. There are a lot of low key areas in Bergen County I could even show you with buildings that would accommodate a beautiful shooting range. Its the opposition you have to fight and its not even worth it. If you cant get a hobby shop in an area forget about a shooting range.

"We were supposed to have these records Expunged at the age of 18 according to our Judge." I am not clear on the comment you made about expungement. Did the judge actually say to you guys that this will automatically "go away" once your 18? Did you actually have the expungment done?

Bayonne is in Hudson County. Probably about 40 min ride from most areas in Bergen County. Still to far for Bergen County residents. Route 4 or Route 17 would be ideal. Very expensive real estate in those areas but you would clean up.

I lived in Bergen County for years. There really is no gun range you can just go to and shoot in Bergen County without driving some distance. Tenafly, Waldwick , and Fair Lawn only let their own residents shoot at their ranges. I am actually interested in the Riverdale one. I checked out their website and it says only when they are holding orientation night is when they accept members but you have to check the calander every month. If orientation is not noted on the calander for that month then they are not accepting any members. So they pretty much are not accepting members. If anyone out there has some money to invest, invest in an indoor range in Bergen County. I would say right on Route 17 or Route 4. Pretty much in the center of it all and you will make a boatload of money. Now in NY there is a range called the Firing Line within minutes from the NY/NJ border up on 17 north but you legally can't transport handguns there so thats a no go for handguns. i have the same question. all the clubs listed are private, resident only, police or do not allow large loads. help !

You can use a solid rod and I did not notice any difference with it. The problem you are having with the gun shooting low is the same exact problem I had with my Springfield 1911 Loaded model. I did not have the tritium sights. I had the regular 3 dot. I actually called and complained about this problem. They were very good about it. They sent me a pre-paid label through email with directions on how to send the gun back to them. They tested it. They put a new front sight on the gun. For whatever reason they also put a better stainless steel barrel and stainless steel bushing on it also for me. I got the gun back within 2 weeks. It shoots great now and I cant complain about the customer service there. I would call. They might not admit it but there are several complaints about their 1911's shooting low I saw all over the internet forums. They must know and maybe thats why they were so helpful.

I had the same problem with my Springfield 1911. What I did was buy a full length one from Wilson combat and that solved that problem.

Just order your ammo from Cabelas. Right to your front door and no FID required. That is what I had to do when my FID card was taken for address change in Ramsey NJ. I moved again recently and the town I am in now let me keep it.
