I'm hesitating to "pull the trigger" on this - Nick - did you get one? What do you guys think of these? I got $10 Dvor credit I can use towards this too...

I read it this morning on another forum - rediculous!!! arrested in front of the school, in front of his kid. if I recall the daughter said soemthing like "it's my daddy and he uses the gun to shoot bad guys and monsters" - really? special monster-killing silver hollowpoint bullets?

it's a Federal crime, also. My daughter knows what guns are and what they do and never to touch if she sees one without me around. She's seen YouTube videos of bullets going through melons and was told that the same could happen to someone's head. I've shown a shotgun and a pistol to her, she was too scared (or just not interested enough) to even touch one. The education will continue with her, and with our son as he grows up. On this forum, the fact that kids should be educated about firearms... well - that's preaching to the choir...

I've used them ... and they literally fell off... maybe I didn't take all the oil off the sights first well enough... I'll be trying again in a day or so, will post results and maybe pics up here...

He he, I was thinking about that... but this was Stargate: Atlantis, they're in another galaxy, the logistics of gettign Uncle Same to ship more mags and that nice, very expensive 5.7×28mm ammo would be supposedly more difficult... and I've seen that on other shows as well...

I've been watching some Stargate shows and have thought about some of this stuff lately: I love it when they rack the slide as the argument escalates... so you mean all this time, while they were pointing guns at each other .... nobody had a round in the chamber? I thought about the infinite round magazine - my explanation is that the reloading is usually just not shown ... think of that part just being edited out. Another thing is when an unarmed good guy beats a bad guy unconcious, takes his gun... but doesn't take any extra magazines .... so then, tough guy, all you have is a maximum of 17 rounds to deal with whoever else you have to deal with.... The last thing that annoys the crap out of me is when they just thow out the spent magazines. Those things cost money and not in limitless supply, y'know...

I have a RIA Tactical .45 and love it. Would certainly recommend it to anyone, very solid gun for the price.
