Just as an example, I recently stopped by Griffen and Howe which is just a 3 min drive for me. I had never been in before and knew that they sold beautiful (expensive) rifles and shotguns, and I was actually a little nervous about going in given that I wasn't planning to buy anything. The gentlemen who greeted me in the store was extremely nice, and encouraged me to go around and handle all the guns I wanted. I held/caressed/examined probably $900k worth of inventory, given that they price some of their shotguns at almost 200k+. If a gun store can not only allow but encourage a relatively poor college student to examine and shoulder at Fabbri O/U with a $196,000.00 pricetag, a local gun shop should let you touch their Mossbergs all you want.

Can you imagine trying to explain to someone in say 1880 Texas that they can't sell their colt to Jimbob down the road because he already dun buyed one from Jeb two weeks ago? Try and find a lightly-used Remmy 581. My dad recently gave me his and it's fantastic. Very sturdy, 6 lug bolt, smooth action, extremely light, and consistently good looking stocks. They're extremely accurate too, from a rest at 25yds (I know not very far but it was at SCFGPA indoor range) I shot a 5 shot group measuring .36 using the stock ironsights. They're fairly inexpensive from what I've seen on gunbroker.

It's a bit of a drive for me, but if I'm going to look in to heading out there. Sounds like less of a social event and more of a purely shooting event. Although I think seeing people you know and shooting the **** with them is as much fun as shooting -0's, it sounds like a good way to get some practice in.

I used to think that Glocks didn't appeal to me. I now know for sure that I can't stand them. I also believed for a short while that loading my ammo wasn't something I wanted to pursue, good lord I was lost.

Where is this documented? It's VERY interesting. I won't be buying an AR in the near future but it brings up quite a few questions. Namely, how do they define "grip" if someone grips higher than another, do they run less risk of being illegal? Also this is absurdly silly, even for NJ.

I'm fairly certain that this has been disproved multiple times. Think of a beat-to-sh*t car sitting on blocks, the suspension was probably still keeping the car raised and it may have been sitting there for decades.

My initials are MRP, but if you capitalize all the letters it looks like "murp". If I keep the "r" lowercase, it looks like Mr.P! Voila.
