Not supporting or opposing what he's getting, but think about it, that's only about 7.5 weeks of pay working a case 8 hours a day 5 days a week. Like I said, not supporting or opposing, but when you compare it to what he actually makes if he has a full case load, the 150k really isn't a lot. Now if you had him on retainer, what do you think the cost of what he did today would be? Travel there and back, time there, prep etc at say 500 an hour. Just saying. Back in the mid 90's when I was in Vegas shooting the APA nationals I was at the table between matches, I was pulling for a king of hearts for the royal and pulled a diamond, yup a king just the same, I missed the big payoff, but I still pulled off the straight, so I'll keep my hopes up, won't hold my breath, but I sure as heck ain't giving up. If anything, things like today only should be lighting fires under people's butts to get them motivated to do everything they can. I sure think this fight is a lot easier than the alternative, because when it comes down to it, they are not taking the 2A away without it getting real ugly and something I don't want to see happen. I understand your frustration, but these all of these people want to stay in the positions they are in, they are the ones we all need to focus on even more. Hundreds of calls, faxes, emails etc every day and they might get the hint their days are numbered. Have to think, the ration of pro vs. anti today has to make them think. Even if they are anti to the core, they like their position even more and as any in politics, they go where the votes are.. Might be a good time to start compiling the last election results and see what the number of votes were for each and every elected position. This needs to be remembered by all and we need to campaign against them and educate as many people as we can between now and then and keep it up. This state is just shy of impossible to get changed, but I think we can with the right effort, even if not completely changed, picking away 1 by 1. Wow, very nice, and to think middle of the week, during normal work hours and the turnout was that good. It gives me hope, hope that come election time, we can do something about having the same boobs in office again. I sure think between all of us and the other hunting clubs joining together we can have an impact if we keep going at this pace. Time for a mass education of the uninformed.
