  1. I guess your finger prints change after 2 years.... What a bunch of crap! Ken
  2. I just got 3 pistol permits in 4 business day from East Windsor. Townships that are taking longer are just not doing their jobs or just dont care. The state police are a freakin joke. I feel bad for anyone stuck going through them. Ken
  3. rite around $40. I didnt buy any LPP. I did buy some SPP and they where that price. Ill look for the receipt. I bought a bunch of other stuff while I was there. Ken
  4. I like this one too. Ken Block is one serious car drivin lunatic!
  5. With the amount of computer controlled components in a car now there can be a lot of things that may make it act up. Not all of them mean it needs a new trans. A perfect example is my F250. It would slip like a like a dog on ice in reverse. It did not need a trans though, only a solenoid. Been fine for the last 60k miles. That dude telling you $1800 sight unseen is not the guy Id go see. If you have a trusted local mechanic it might not be a bad idea just to let him/her take a look with a scan tool and then check for any relevant TSB's Ken
  6. Changing an outlet is really not that hard. With a little advice on the situation almost anyone here could do it. I come from the school of thought that the only dumb question is teh question not asked. The OP will probably be just fine since he knew enough to seek out electrical advice from a bunch of gun nuts! LOL! Its all good! Ken
  7. Cheyane mountain outfitters in Hamilton had em a few days ago. If you can actually get them on the phone they will put a brick aside for you so you dont waste the trip. Ken
  8. 20 years ago i would be all over that. Such things did not exist 20 years ago though. I will stick to my electra glide at this point in my life. Enjoy it for all its worth and keep it rubber side down! Ken
  9. BLF, It would seem as though your reputation is well known. I would recommend that you get the proper overweight permit so your truckload of shotguns does not raise any questions if they weigh the semi you will be needing to get them all there! Ken
  10. Whatever you do DO NOT take it to Aamco. They are the worst people on planet earth to take a car to. It doesnt matter what its doing they will tell you it needs a transmission. Then after they rebuild it the third time it will almost work as good as it did when you took it in for the problem it had in the first place. My preference for transmissions is the dealer. The last 2 I replaced came rite from Ford. They had the best warranty and believe it or not, the lowest price and I only had to change them once. I have also had decent luck with Jasper remans. Ken
  11. Just al ittle FYI The box they put on your AC unit has a radio receiver in it. It is controlled by a signal that comes from streetilights. If you have ever seen a streetlight with a little box hanging under it with an antenna you have seen one. What it does is nothing at all until the voltage starts to sag a little. In some areas there is a slightly more intelligent network controlling things. When this happens it starts the cycling. The cycling it does is long enough apart to not do any harm to your AC. In areas with crappy voltage you will see it more. Ken
  12. If the house was wired in the 60's or even the 50's it should have grounded metal boxes. Look inside the box, if there is an un insulated wire screwed to the box you are good to go. What you need to get is a self grounding 3 prong outlet. These can be identified by the little copper colored tab that retains one of the screws that hold it into the box. Option B is to ground the outlet to that copper wire. You will still need to ground the box as well. Dont just take the ground wire off the box and attach it to the outlet. This will require the use of wirenuts and scrap tails of wire. Choice A is the easy way. This is a legitimate way to do this and completely safe. The reason why the box is grounded and the outlet only has 2 prongs is simple, cords did not yet have the 3 prong style yet. The safest way to cary out this work is to turn the main breaker off. This eliminates all guessing, main is off, outlet is off. Dont be scared of it! Remember, black wire goes to the brass screw, white wire goes to the silver screw, ground (if you are going that route) goes to the green screw. When done, test it with one of the little outlet testers with the lights in it to tell you its good or bad. If your house has the AC cable (coiled steel looking stuff that is very uncoperative) PM me. Ken
  13. I can bring an electric thrower if needed too. Ken
  14. I am going to try to make it to this one if you guys will have me Ken
  15. This is why there are no used guns for sale. This guy here buys em all before anyone can see em. He snaked a couple that I would have purchased! Ken
  16. To add to Old Schools post: If cleaning it doesnt make it run great again, contact volquartsen for an exact edge extractor. Thats the only part I have worn out in 2 ruger 22's. Other than that crap quality $20 part that you can change yourself in 10 minutes its a dam good pistol! Enjoy Ken
  17. That was awesome! I am not sure what suicidal song that was but it sounds like something off "the art of rebelion" album. Ken
  18. You can use a 45colt/454 cassul die for the 460s&w Magnum. They are a little bit longer than the 45 colt dies. The 460 is almost 2 inches long so the colt 45 dies are barely threaded in. The rowland is just under 1 inch so there should be no problem there. The 460 also requires one hefty crimp and without the body of the case in the seat/crimp die it could wrinkle the case as I have done to a few of them. My old colt 45 sizing die is not deep enough to deprime properly without running the decapping pin all the way down but it does a superior job resizing compared to the redding die I got. I am still waiting on redding. I sent them an email last thursday. If I dont get a reply on monday Ill be calling them. Ken
  19. Both the cases in the pic where lubed with a good old fashioned RCBS lube pad and RCBS lube. The only difference between the cases in the pic is the one on the left was done with an RCBS 45colt sizer and the one on the right was done with a redding 460 case sizer. Ken
  20. My reply to that argument is this.. Driving a car is a privelage The 2nd amendment is a rite! Ken
  21. Ill post up some measurements tonight. I would say die was never finished up to proper internal diameter. Not a good way to have a first time experience with redding. I will give them them a call and see if they can make good on it before I totally trash em. Ken
  22. I have been trying to find a set of RCBS or Hornady S&W 460 dies for a while. I found many sets of redding dies and finally just decided to get them since I had no luck otherwise. I sized exactly 1 case with it and now it looks like a belted magnum. The case on the left was sized with an RCBS 45 colt die and the redding on the right.. I should probably have just stuck to the 45 colt dies but the bullet seater and crimper are so high in the press that I worry about them being square. Also, the redding die sizes the case WAY smaller that the 45colt die does. The 45colt die gets them rite back to spec for the case. The redding die takes them almost .005 smaller than spec. So, the question is this: Am I doing something wrong with the redding die or do the just tear up cases like this? The last thing I want is a stress point by the head of a case that you can load to 65,000 psi. Ken added on edit: Both cases are new unfired Hornady brass
  23. Thanks! You are really on target with that statement. Maybe leaving my house the day I turned 18 and never looking back really did the trick for me. Ken
  24. I dont understand why people would off themselves. I have a ton of bad crap going on rite now. I am busy as hell, I have absolutely no time to do anything for myself, I am facing divorce, and I just had a serious financial loss. I have a lot of crap to deal with at the moment. I can honestly say that killing myself is NOT an option. I will just pick up the pieces and move on with my life just like I have done in the past. I just dont get it. Life is not all happiness and money, or whatever the hell people thing it is nowadays. I really dont have too much respect for people that take the cowards way out. I honestly just dont understand how that is even an option. I grew up hard, live hard and play hard (when I can). I just pay my dues and move on. Ken
  25. If you ever get into mercer county Mounts Garage in Hightstown has nover done me wrong. Ken
