  1. We have had great success identifying people through elance.com. Most recently our website was hacked and needed upgrading. We found a very competent person to do it through this site at a fraction of cost. At first I was weary, but so far we have been pleased.
  2. Waiting for the Linden cop who had a BAC of 3x the legal limit and caused the death of two of his buddies to be charged. Its been months...
  3. PS: A new pup doesn't replace the old but their goofyness helps to remember the good times. +111 Particularly with a Golden pup. Ask me how I know. My condolences to your family. Time heals.
  4. Any recommendations on a quality cheek riser for the ATI Monte Carlo stock? The scope on the Mosin is quite high and makes for an impossible cheek weld.
  5. I have advised business owners in transition in the past. I would suggest you propose a formal referral arrangement whereby you agree to pay him a referral fee of x% of all business referred, say up to one year. This give him an incentive to refer business, he feels like he is getting something back from all the goodwill he has built up and he is providing a service to his loyal customers. If he agrees, you might even propose he send out a mailing (which you would pay for) to his customers endorsing your shop. Obviously, he needs to both trust you to provide a fair accounting of what business was a result of his referral and have faith in you to take care of his past customers. Good luck with it. The worst he can say is “no thank you”.
  6. Probably is. It was probably less frequent than monthly, the memory tends to embellish. Imagine a gun show in a school cafeteria today? No on even giave it a second thought! Just an available empty space for a community event.
  7. I recall in the late 60's early 70's there was a once a month gun show ( last Sunday) at Toms River High School South. I don't know what organization sponsored it. It was fairly well attended and vendors took up most of the cafeteria. Still fond memories attending with my father.
  8. I have done two U.S. Carb conversions. One was plug and play and one was a bit finicky. But excellent product and results. No more worrying about storing gas or standing in gas lines. This is a great price if you are planning on a conversion. Also excellent customer support.
  9. Yes did exactly that years ago and works great!
  10. Chag Sameach to all our Jewish Members. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
  11. Say what you will about the man, but he was NOT corrupt. In this State, that says a lot
  12. Take a look at they US Carb type C kit. It is a simple bolt on convert. I converted my Generac 5500 watt system to the Tri fuel and it works fine.
  13. I have the US Carburetion Type C bolt on kit - no drilling. I could not be happier. IM me if you have any questions
  14. Take a look at www.uscarburetion.com. They have been making very affordable conversion kits for years. I have the Type C Tri-Fuel kit installed on my 10hp Generac with Techumseh engine. Runs on gasoline, natural gas or propane. The unit was only $189 but I paid a licensed plumber $900 to run a 1" natural gas line 60' from the main to where I keep the portable unit in back of house. I have a quick connect fitting on a 10' gas line outside the house and I have endless power.
  15. I had a very good experience with Tony. You do pay full retail, but he should be compensated for his ability to source Garands and his expertise.
  16. Thanks for the heads up on the laws. I guess I will go the boring havaheart trap route.
  17. Got a ground hog problem that tipped me over the edge when I found my dog 1 foot away from one snarling at it. Looking for .177 pelete gun. Thanks
  18. I am looking for a Remington tactical ("20 barrel) in .223. Just getting into shooting Long guns and this one seems to fit my need. Thanks for looking!
  19. Has anyone replaced the stock trigger on their Mosin with one of the aftermarket triggers such as the Timney? I know it it seems ridiculous to put a $100 trigger on a $100 rifle, but I am just getting into distance shooting and before I purchase a Remington 700 or the likes, I want to be sure I enjoy it. The trigger pull is so awful that it really does not give me a good feel for the sport. I am uncomfortable from a safety perspective undertaking any of the trigger jobs shown on the internet. Besides, the money I will save practicing using 7.62 x 52R versus moving to .308 will go a long way paying back the cost. Alternatively, are their any professional gunsmiths on the forum who have successfully improved the trigger pull who I should contact? Thanks
  20. Welcome from a fellow Livingston resident. I have found the town to be very good regarding the processing of permits.
  21. Any recommendations for a bipod under $100? Thanks
  22. To be more specific, what is my legal obligation to confirm the buyer is of legal age? Should I request a copy of drivers license? Have not done this before and want to conform to the law.
  23. I would like to sell extra ammo via the Forum. Am I legally required to collect any information ( I.e drivers licence, prove of age, etc.) from the buyer? Thanks in advance for advice.
  24. Thanks to all for your prompt responses!!!
