  1. When the new law was written & signed in June of 2018, those little loopholes will filled. 1st week of December mags over 10 rounds became suppositories. Couldn't sell, transport, turn-in or give away. Couldn't destroy the EVIDENCE either. You're guilty and need to shove them where the sun don't shine! My brother passed 11 years ago. I found an ammo can my sister in-law gave me when she "sold" me his Para P-14 2011 "Fat Bottom Girl". Way down at the bottom of this .50 cal metal ammo can were Glock mags over 10 rounds. I never knew I had them. They're now at my son's house in PA. He transported 31 mags x 18 months EACH = 46.5 YEARS worth of TIME!
  2. WE BROKE THIS STORY & NOW IT'S GOING VIRAL! In case you haven't seen it yet, here it is: I.E.D. DIDN'T DESTROY HIS LIFE, NJ GUN LAW WILL! NJ MARINE FACING 36 MO. FOR 2 HI-CAP MAGS! by Black Wire Media Friday Oct. 25, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us BREAKING! Marine Mike Harky gave 8 years of his life protecting his country. An I.E.D. explosion medically retired him from the Marine Corps. The Amphibious Vehicle (AMTRAK) driver and Waldwick, NJ businessman came home with a Purple Heart and everything he was issued except for his rifle & gas mask. These souvenirs were sent home in Harky's footlocker, which had remained closed for years until an incident this past February brought about by a child custody dispute unfolded. A T.R.O. (Temporary Restraining Order) was issued and the Waldwick Police visited the Harky residence, asking as they always do about weapons in the dwelling. It was then that the footlocker was opened and the magazines were seized along with other property. The T.R.O. was nullified at Family Court in February, at the conclusion of the custody battle, shortly after the seizure incident. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ During a subsequent search by Police, a shotgun stored in his attic, his Marine dress sword and 10 assorted collector knives were seized along with (2) standard capacity 30-round magazines the Marines issued to him that he forgot were stowed away in his footlocker. Harky doesn't own a rifle OR the ammo for the magazines. They're just punched-out pieces of metal that contain a spring, a follower and some sand dust. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Fast forward to September 19th's consent order from the Family Court awarding 50% custody to each parent of the couple's 8 year old son, a heart transplant patient. The consent order stated he needed to apply for & pass a background check for a NJFPID card in order to get his shotgun, sword & knives returned. In going through the seized items in September, Waldwick PD then found the (2) 30-round standard issue magazines for the Marine's M-4 duty rifle that he doesn't have, at which time he was placed under arrest & spent two days in Bergen County Jail! Harky, now remarried (see photo), has a November 15th Court date at Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack. Harky, worried the state is trying to make him an "Example" for NJ's new Hi-Cap MAG BAN that puts you AWAY for 18 MONTHS per magazine, then wrote a Facebook post on Tuesday Oct. 23rd, which is now going viral! Fellow 2A supporters recommended he get attorney Evan Nappen to represent him in this matter, and as of last Wednesday evening, Nappen is under a retainer contract. We interviewed Harky earlier this afternoon (10-25) for this exclusive story! No formal fundraising effort is yet underway and this construction company owner that employs 12 full-time employees now faces a dire future. Any help sharing this Marine Hero's fateful journey through the meatgrinder that is the NJ Court system will be greatly appreciated!
  3. How'd it go? Are you all signed-up? ~R
  4. Finally something to write about that's not pork roll or taylor ham... Thanks for posting!
  5. @Maksim I don't name-call. I respectfully disagree. There are plenty of stupid questions. Trolls use them as bait. If this guy is legit, so be it. Many aren't. Some are even prohibited persons. We're constantly being "probed" by crazier & crazier questions from who knows where. Moms Demand? OAG? All of the above? My apologies if my rough outsides didn't expose my tender "Mentor" middle. Every once in a while I still have a sweaty flashback of a dude hunting a 300 pound hog at 25 yards w/ a .338 Lapua Magnum & heat imaging scope that ran North of $14K & weighed-in at 30 pounds. Missed two shots & hit the hog in the ham on a quartering-away shot, blowing-out the entire opposite shoulder. It was GONE! When we got what was left of the animal to the butcher, the butcher asked me, "Does he like bone in his sausage?". Maybe Lapua Boy should have asked some stupid questions? Like "do I need a tarp so my BMW X3 mini SUV doesn't get filled with pig blood & melting ice"? (Luckily the guide service we hired had some spare tarps!) It's worth a cup of coffee to make this right. I'll send a PM. ~R
  6. Thanks Paul! We now return to lurking in silence & awaiting the next ALIEN PROBE ~R
  7. In my travels making appearances as a #2AHeavyLifter I often find myself going to ranges w/o a gun. I do a LOT of mentoring and folks always ask me to shoot their guns, which I do. Then I often mentor their stance, grip, trigger squeeze, sight picture, breathing, etc., and they get tighter groups. Then they tell their friends, and the story repeats itself. I probably shoot less than I used to, but have competed in USPSA & IDPA using friends' guns, ammo, etc. (at their insistence!) and scoring decently. It's like riding a bike to me. I try to shoot clays 2-3x a month. In a weekend I've visited up to four ranges/clubs, and shot at most of them. I belong to a private club (Old Bridge) that has an outdoor as well as an indoor range facility. Sometimes I just show-up w/ a cigar & hang-out chatting & shaking hands. Last weekend I was open carrying at Rod of Iron Freedom Festival at Kahr Arms. Met Alan Gottlieb (we were set-up in an adjacent booth) & he donated cases of his two books to us as a thanks for doing a great job in NJ. This Thursday I'll be at Gun For Hire w/ Tony Simon as a volunteer at his Diversity Shoot. I'll shoot a few rounds in a quick drill, but I'm not there to shoot, I'm there to mentor. For $20 you get pizza, use of the guns, ammo & your port fee covered. In the days prior to the Coalition, I never went to the range when I wasn't competing, 'cept to guest-in an occasional friend. I've competed in a ton of shooting disciplines, and once belonged to three clubs at the same time. So every weekend I'd be shooting a different league, and I'd try to shoot clays during the bidness week. The leagues are full of great people. Like you show up w/o a thing & suddenly you're invited to shoot the league & loaner stuff & ammo gets dumped into yer lap. ~R
  8. Maybe it's time for a test to get in here? I'm tired of being "probed by ALIENS"... Meaning, you don't ask a question & then just LURK like a JERK! You get involved. The last couple of months seem to have been quite interesting in terms of new people having advanced questions requiring complicated answers. Take this one for instance. The FFL that transferred the rifle to the OP would be the FIRST person to ask about display modes, storage, etc., wouldn't they? I just washed my blue jeans. Is it OK if I hang them on the clothes line to dry or do I need special permission from the Chief of Police? The store where I bought the jeans gave me free laundry soap , 100' of rope & clothes pins. So is it REALLY ok to use them? ~R
  9. You spent so much money on a custom build that they gave you a stand-up table display for it? And with all of that money spent, you ask IF it's "legal" to display it? WOW, just WOW!
  10. BUMP! ONE guy hit me with a private message volunteering to HELP! ONE guy from this entire site. Those are AMATEUR NUMBERS, so yuse guys better work on that, lol Do you want it to happen bad enough to VOLUNTEER to MAKE IT HAPPEN? Don't just LURK! GET INVOLVED! HERE'S THE NEXT DINER TOUR "MEET & GREET"! Rosey
  11. IANAL and this isn't legal advice! OK, now it's my turn since @Golf battery asked for my help, lol! Some question(s) first: Is your wife receiving compensation as an owner of the bidness? Cash (a bi-weekly or monthly "draw"), securities, stock, or any other corporate transfer that indicates she has a written percentage of the bidness interest? If YES, she's one of the OWNERS and as such can legally transport an unloaded & cased hand gun per FOPA rules to her bidness in NJ, and upon entering said bidness can strap on a loaded sidearm. No law exists limiting ownership rights of NJ bidnesses to strictly NJ residents! If she "just works for the family bidness" and holds no asset value (stocks, bonds, a written percentage a partner would have) in said bidness, she's merely an EMPLOYEE and not an OWNER...So her hand gun rights disappear. There isn't a restriction on the number of owners of the Very Big Corporation, Inc., so one or twenty owners could all be strapped simultaneously IF they all OWN the bidness together. The Owner(s) of the company can surround themselves with firearms in every room of said bidness. There is no restriction as to the number, size or type, so long as they are "Jersey Legal" and devoid of hi-cap mags and "EVIL PA-style features". One or two hundred, doesn't matter. No law exists limiting these rights that owners have. One Mossberg 500 for the entire facility or one for each room is up to the owner(s). We don't have "Stand Your Ground" in NJ, but as Dirty Harry Callahan was once quoted, "If I see a naked man with a hard-on chasing a woman down an alley with a butcher knife I know he's not out collecting for the Red Cross". GRIZ is correct, there isn't a DA or Prosecutor in all 21 counties of NJ that will try a VIC for a "CLEAN shooting" where the forensics prove-out and any REASONABLE person would have done the same thing. All THAT being said, @Redfield.C since it's your first post here on this forum, I sincerely hope you take the time to READ what folks wrote. It's been 3 full days & then some since your only post...hoping to hear back from you so I don't feel "Trolled".
  12. @Zeke I'm trying to keep that day (Saturday) open for an appearance at your Clay Shoot, BBQ & hang-out at the Campground, and then drive home. If I can swing it, I'll bring CNJFO wearables for sale, applications, etc. and afford NJGF members a chance to pick my brain for things I can't TYPE for public consumption HERE (IF it's OK with YOU since it's YOUR Gig?). Next day is Sunday 10-20, and I hafta be at the ANJR&PC Annual Meeting to represent the Coalition. One of our Life Members, Theresa Napolitano, is being elected to the ANJRPC Board of Directors. She just got back from the NRA Board of Directors meeting in Fairfax, VA, and she sits on an advisory committee with them. Feel free to reach-out, PM or call me just to chat. Always have time for a fellow Patriot! Looking forward to trying everything from crock-pot ribs to whatever yuse guys (and gals) decide to cook. Let me know if there's room for some gourmet burgers on someone's grill & IF you need a salad, dessert, etc. Yours in the 2A fight, Rosey
  13. Let me know if ya need a long sleeve CNJFO sweat shirt or Hoodie cause we got them too Ed! Give em' hell on that twp. committee! Rosey
  14. ^^^PROOF that you've already been brainwashed into a good little, still wet behind-the-ears typical NJ gun owner that wants to always pick up the TURD in the swimming pool by the CLEAN END! I've been doin' this firearms thang for over 48 YEARS. In all of that time I've never heard of a "perfectly clean case" of a gun owner getting hung out to dry. Allen, Aitken, even the 70+ yr old history teacher from So. Jersey with the 300 year old flint-less flintlock hand gun (a piece of metal pipe with wood wrapped around it, since a FLINT in the jaws of the guns' hammer is required to make a spark for ignition!) wrapped in a dinner napkin & stored in a car's glove box. They all had fingers pointing at them. They all had been pulled over for a tiny infraction. Don't hold yer breath waitin' for it (the TURD with the CLEAN end) to happen either! There's always some piece of minutia that gives guys (it's ALWAYS GUYS---cause women are MUCH smarter when it comes to this shit!) the bravado to point fingers without knowing ALL of the facts, and then try the case in their own tiny minds and then broadcast the results on social media. As IF we actually CARE what the uninformed think about OUR RIGHTS & how we exercise them, lol. Then they need a SAFE place when guys like me that have seen it all & done it all call them out. I rode around with a scattergun all day today. Did the same since SUNDAY. Might do it again tomorrow too. It's legal, even here in Jersey, so why not? "riding around with guns while not going to the range". Really? You mean forgetting he was driving in the Communist People's Republic of New Jerseystan, right? WHO was he hurting besides brainwashed NJ gun owners? As a "2A Leader" I don't get to pick & choose age, race, marital status, education level, hard-headedness, laziness, number of cavities in their mouths, stupidity level, etc., etc., of the VIC of overzealous NJ gun law. I DEFEND you no matter how many forum members want to throw you under Da-Bus. WHY? Because I care MORE about the 2nd Amendment itself, and the ABUSE of 2A than I do about the opinions of a Stockholm Syndrome-affected NJ gun owner that thinks a "firearms inspection" at a range is acceptable. @Mrs. Peel @Zeke USRifle30Cal I need a drink!
  15. Gimmie a few bus loads of Democrats I can pay to protest and we'll get RESULTS! Ask gun owners to protest and all they want to do is show-up on a weekend when no one is in Trenton, AND it can't interfere with their weekend PLANS! Ask gun owners to go protest and we'll need toilets on the buses, exotic diet waters, gluten-free snacks and door-to-door transportation. Half will bail on you if it's colder than 60 or warmer than 78 degrees. Martin Luther King HAD A DREAM! Here's mine: One out of 10 NJ gun owners joins the Coalition & stays a member! That's 100K gun owners at $50 per = $5 MILLION bucks a year in just dues. After administrative costs, wearables & postage you'd still have over a MILLION $ annual budget (I'm being conservative here) just for Public Relations, Billboards, Radio spots, etc., etc. What everybody on this forum has to ask themselves is when their dues are DUE so they don't lapse. Cause the sumbitches should ALL be members (like YOU are) already, RIGHT? ~R
  16. Glad you enjoyed the outdoor range. You'll enjoy the indoor even though you can't use black powder, a scattergun or rifle calibers. Pistol caliber carbines (9, .40 & .45) are fine, and any .22LR platform. We have a SAFE TABLE. Holster draw is allowed. Don't practice above your skill level. Clean up after yourself, turn-off lights & ventilation system. D-Lead soap is provided. Restrooms are clean. Use the meeting room for an organized pizza party w/ members & guests (see guest policy) if you so desire or perhaps just a sammich by yourself, just clean-up after yourself. YOU are your own RO. Don't shoot the walls, floor or ceiling, as CCTV will capture it all. Run by members FOR members. Follow the rules, have fun & BE SAFE! Check the League calendar & pound on the door if there's cars in the parking lot. Bring eyes & ears, a sammich & coffee from Wawa just up the road. Ask to WATCH because you're considering joining. Learn thru osmosis. Enter into discussions. ASK questions. LEARN THINGS! Then show-up on the 2nd Sunday for the Sign-Up & Safety Check at 8:45am SHARP. Bring a checkbook or CASH (no cards accepted), a handgun of a caliber on the allowed list, a box of ammo, your mags, eyes & ears. It's literally THAT easy! Rosey
  17. MAYBE? JUST MAYBE? LOL! All #2AHeavyLifters in NJ know each other. Shit man, we're the ones doin' all the work! Willett changed jobs & tossed that live grenade to CNJFO. We made sure the pin didn't fall out during the hand-off. The short & sweet version: Until such time as lots of interested parties that wish to show up & WATCH WHAT HAPPENS decide they want it bad enough to MAKE IT HAPPEN by volunteering to DO THINGS TO SET IT UP & RUN IT, the NJSAFECON has come to a hiatus. I can't run it by myself and still do everything I do now that most here have no clue about since I post, edit, manage & channel-guard our Facebook page about 18 hours a day. That's when I'm not attending meetings, making appearances, running my pistol league at Old Bridge, mentoring, interviewing, finding & visiting sponsors, running hog hunts, pheasant hunts, and sporting clays that hardly anybody here attends. For instance, tomorrow night's event is right down the road from RTSP:
  18. @USRifle30Cal It never ceases to amaze me the quality of 2nd Amendment interpretation here on this forum. Some want this guy to never see daylight again. Complete ASSHATS! You people wanna know why NJ is goin' down the shitter as far as gun laws are concerned? It's because with only a partial story & SOME facts you're willing to fill-in the rest all on your own and throw a fellow gun owner under Da Bus! Why? Because he might have a CCW & you don't? Because he was "careless" in leaving a gun case out to see? What exactly was his crime & who got hurt? I spoke to a Cop friend yesterday. A lll%er. NO way he would have jammed this guy up. He would have told him to go straight back to PA! Forums are a double-edged sword. Everybody thinks they're an expert and half the time they themselves don't know the exemptions! We're in the process of reaching out to this fellow's lawyer to see IF they want publicity or not. It's Monday, so let the Monday morning quarterbacking continue. I'm OUT! ~R
  19. This: A very POWERFUL Op-Ed written by a 9/11 Victim that has a wound that will never completely heal. His poignant story emanates from being labeled a TERRORIST by some assholes in San Francisco. 9/11 for me was like any other day. Then I saw the smoke trail from the WTC as I crossed the Edison bridge enroute to my studio to meet a client that was picking-up her daughter's wedding proofs. Car radio on NewsRadio 880AM, Tom Kaminski in the chopper, I heard the report of the 2nd plane hitting the towers. My country, OUR COUNTRY, WAS UNDER ATTACK! I immediately KNEW this, my superior situational awareness told me so. Proofs delivered, I closed the studio, sped home, loaded the M-1 Garand (a proven WEAPON OF WAR!), grabbed a handful of loaded .30-06 ammo clips, a pair of binoculars, set up a folding table & chair and sat in my backyard, scanning the sky for CROP DUSTER Aeroplanes, hoping to never spot one. Dead SILENCE 'cept for Air National Guard sorties. See, everything that was in the air was already GROUNDED, and our military was patrolling the greater NY harbor area. THAT MEANT anything else IN THE AIR was a TARGET! Radio reports said the Terrorists may try a gas attack with crop dusters, so I did what little I could. I was as "ready" as I could be. A local Cop I knew & used to trade cigars with pulled-up next to my yard. Puffin' a big ass stogie, he asked me WHAT THE HELL I was doing. So I told him, "LOOKIN' FOR CROP DUSTERS!". His words will forever be etched in my memory: "SHOOT THE CROP DUSTER(S), THEN CALL IT IN!!" The world changed & I hadn't fired a shot! I'm a NRA Life Member. Some fuckin' terrorist I turned-out to be! WAS INSPIRED BY THIS: "SOME PEOPLE DID SOMETHING" 18 YRS LATER! A TALE OF TWO COUNTRIES, THE U.S. POST 9-11! Op-Ed by Nick Chiarchiaro for Black Wire Media Friday Sept. 13, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us Dickens once said, and it was his first few words, “It was the best of times and it was the worst of times,” That is true then for that story in the "Tale of Two City’s" and what I am about to share with you as the tale of Two Countries. It was a bright sunny day over 18 years ago, early in the morning America was waking up to start their day. In the NY area, I am all sure we can remember exactly where we were and what we were doing – sadly some of us would like to really be able to forget for just a bit, brief moments of solace, where we are not constantly reminded of what we are so needing to be able to put away and forget at times. I was in my home office; my day was ramping up and I had been at it for over an our already. It was a beautiful morning overlooking the yard through the window when I could catch a glancing gaze away from the illuminating glow of the computer monitor, so much to do today, so better get to it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I was upstairs by myself getting ready as the day unfolded. No radio, no TV. All alone (or was I)? At around 8:55/56 in the morning I had been overcome with a desperate feeling of dread, dread so deep that my body shook and I had an overwhelming feeling of the need to call my mother at work. I dialed, fast busy. Hmmm, right number. Redial by hand, fast busy. Line is dead? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Then the scream pierced the morning, my wife calling with sorrow in her voice from downstairs – a plane hit the trade center. I processed those words, a plane hit the trade center? My mind saw a little piper cub hitting the building and I thought to myself how can that be, maybe he passed out. She knew what I didn’t till I descended downstairs and saw the TV. Well the rest of THAT day is history as they say, and the months and years after it…. Much of what transpired in the aftermath of that morning is as clear as the day is long, and sadly, I relive it most everyday as I trek to Manhattan for work. We all do it, I am not the Mayor of grief town and own it personally, many people were impacted that day, and we do what we need to do for our families, as much as we want to run far and run fast away from this city at times. Those many people, some I am sure were members of organizations, clubs, groups etc. – both alive and dead. The difference is the dead do not get to get insulted and hurt twice. In the immediate aftermath, there was deep anger towards the Islamic communities, especially when we saw "some people that did something", some of them were actually cheering – some people, we saw them on TV – we remember that too. See the Islamic terrorists perpetrated a hijacking with box cutters and a well-timed & planned attack and used some planes as smart bombs to kill a hell of a lot of people, to strike fear into a nation. The anger was deep – at times it still is. We were all told that you cannot judge an entire group of people by the actions of maniacs bent on mass murder by the media. Do not hold those innocent people responsible for the action of fringe elements, crazy people, sick people who have no regard for life. No regard for live and let live. Sick people. We have had a surge in mental health issues in this nation in the past 20 years, overmedication, no access to mental health services – the stigma placed on people who seek mental health services. We prescribe psychotropic drugs, mind altering ‘medications’ to manage people. We provide no true method to help those that are hurting. We fail those that are relentlessly bullied in schools, we fail those that are on the fringe and ostracize them for the fact that they are different. The vast majority by the grace of God get through the day without hurting themselves or others, but sadly we have had those that are bent on hurting themselves and as many others as they can so they can feel the pain that they feel, each moment of every day. Their sickness overtakes their sensibilities and they become violent. They lash out with hands, feet, knives, fuel, and sadly guns. Dickens also said right after his first few words in that tale, “ it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity”. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Last week the intelligentsia at the San Francisco Board of Organizers thought it reasonable, the week before the anniversary of a real terrorist strike, to label members of the NRA as terrorists. As an NRA member I am disgusted to the core that the SF Board of Organizers would paint me as a terrorist the week before 9/11, if at all. Truly the epoch of incredulity! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How in the name of all that is right, law abiding citizens of this nation can be labeled as terrorists, just because they belong to an organization? Well it is not hard to see how it can happen, truly the epoch of belief, as those same folks is San Francisco now call criminals ‘justice involved persons‘, yes you cannot make this up. As we take time this week and every day to look back on the horrific event that plagued this nation both on 9/11 and those terrible murders by criminals, we must place blame solely where it lies, with the actor performing the terrible act. As Ronald Reagan said, “We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.” Do I really care that some folks in San Francisco label me a terrorist because I am an NRA member? Not really! In order to be insulted I must first value their opinion of which I do not. But as I said earlier the living can get at least hurt twice, and those statements did at least hurt because I was relegated to a group of people that commit murder for political aims by doing violence and intimidation to the weak. Let us hope that going forward we can embark on a “spring of hope” and not a “winter of despair” in the coming months and years as a nation that can and should come together to heal itself. To live and let live, to allow people the freedom to seek the pursuit of happiness that this nation was founded on. In that spirit, I wish the liberal that knows not of what they speak, the anarchist that seeks to destroy this nation and especially the media. The media that which urged all Americans in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, to not judge all members of the Islamic organizations as terrorists and murderers by the actions of a few. Hoping for the spring of hope, that the media and others, will extend the very statements they used post 9/11, to not judge many for the actions of a few extend the very same thoughts to their fellow citizens, that are law abiding gun owners. We as citizens, we as patriots, we as fellow Americans – deserve better! EDITOR's NOTE: Historian Nick Chiarchiaro's terrorism analogy with San Francisco calling NRA members "Terrorists" struck a nerve in all of us. HOW DARE THEY! Chiarchiaro is a NRA member, shooter, collector, mentor, father of two daughters, husband, and a host of other things. As a CNJFO member he volunteers to both write and teach for the Coalition. He's also a VICTIM with a 9/11 wound that will never completely heal. We brought you his Op-Ed today in hopes of making people THINK before they speak, and to join him in calling-out those that throw around incendiary speech like hand grenades. We hope our readers appreciate both the pain and his calling for healing in a world yet to be. ---The Editors
  20. ^^^THAT's the spirit! You'll do FINE! Remember this Sunday is the 3rd Sunday. Outdoor range will have shotgun, static steel & black powder leagues all cookin' at once, startin' at 9am. The gate is OPEN, so come take a peek if ya can Rosey
  21. It's an interesting thought @BobA. Ronnie Barrett won't sell his Barrett rifles to Kali or any dept. in Kali. I met Ronnie Barrett last Sept. at the NRA Board of Directors meeting in Arlington, VA. I'll bring it up the flag pole & see who is fired-up enough to give it a good shot ~R
  22. @JMich3 the above^^^ is true, HOWEVER, careful planning on your part, combined with a multi-discipline approach to non-league shooting AFTER the leagues give up their real estate, will result in a thoroughly ENJOYABLE experience for you, your family and your guests. The trick is to memorize the calendar, attend the matches to learn WHY the club members enjoy them so much (bring your guest(s) to shoot the leagues while on Probation---non members are allowed to shoot the leagues!), look at your watch and pay attention to your situational awareness as far as what happens WHEN. For example: On the 1st Sunday of the month, Shotgun runs a match on the shotgun field, Static Steel runs their match in pits in the Chrono pit and pits 1-5 and often parks cars in pit #6, and Black Powder runs their match in pit #7 (the 100 yard range). So if you're not there to shoot those 3 leagues, you go home bent outta shape. So go to church with the wife & kids, take the family to a Sunday brunch, then show-up with a shotgun & ammo, thrower & clay birds and start THERE since that league is usually done before Noon. Black Powder is usually done by 1:30-ish (depending upon weather---really nice weather brings extra shooters/relays--which take a little longer) and Static Steel is usually last between 2:30 - 3:30pm. Then the outdoor range BECOMES A GHOST TOWN! In the summer you have 5-7 hours of Ghost Town until dusk! So you can start at Noon with yer scattergun, move over to the 100 yard pit at 1:30-ish or so with rifles, and claim any of the pistol pits after the Steel League packs their steel plates & drives them into their trailers. Move from one to the other to the next, easy-peasey! It's just a matter of getting used to what goes on around you . In 20+ years with the club I've shown-up at every league the club has, both indoors & outside, so I know what to expect. NOTE: If you're the type of shooter that thinks they know it all, can't read a published calendar, and show up at 9am to the outdoor range on a 1st or 3rd Sunday (for instance), and then get all pissy because the leagues are running THREE disciplines SIMULTANEOUSLY, then do yourself a favor and DON'T JOIN! If on the other hand, you can enjoy learning how to shoot BETTER, QUICKER, SAFER and LEARN THINGS you don't yet know through osmosis, you'll be a lifelong member of one of the nicest clubs in NJ! When I started with the club 20 years ago, "I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT I DIDN'T KNOW!"...and I'm STILL learning from others, making new friends in the shooting community, running matches (PPC is this Friday night at the indoor range---non members are just $20 American!) and promoting the 2nd Amendment cause. Hope to see you around the ranges! Come over & say hello. Rosey PPC League Co-Chair & Match Director
  23. I've been a member for approx. 20+ years. I love it! I'm a former trustee & current discipline co-chair and match director of the PPC hand gun league. The outdoor range is easy to get to, and plenty of places to stop for brunch-lunch-dinner on Rt. 516 alone. We're a club that is comprised of various shooting leagues. Knockdown Steel is just ONE of the many leagues Old Bridge runs. If all your shooting has been standing in a port, you're in for a real eye-opener, lol! You'll have a ton of FUN at our range! Be safe & enjoy! Rosey
  24. Yes I am indeed @fishnut! I'm also a former member of the Board of Trustees and still a discipline co-chair & match director of the PPC league.
