  1. Does that include the cost of the phones, or just the service days and airtime? Even if it doesn't that price seems very competitive for what you specified. So it will depend on how much you talk, text and download. FYI, on my TracFone right now I have service until March 2021, over 3,000 texts and minutes (each). My wife has similar reserves. So we won't pay anything to TracFone for talk or text until March 2021, except for data that we use which costs $10/GB. It takes me about three months to use a GB, so that's around $3/month for data usage. We're home so much we're mostly using WiFi. In March 2021 we will both have to purchase more service days, but all minutes, text and GB roll over. So we never give up anything we paid for. 365 service days will cost around $125, but that currently includes another 1,500 minutes & texts, and another GB of data. And, when I check out, I can typically buy another 365 service days for $50, which I do. So we never end up buying just minutes or texts, and service days every two years. Hope that helps.
  2. Over the years I have received both letters and phone calls, and so have my references. Now I believe it's only email.
  3. I don't. But we do use TracFone. We just upgraded two smart phones to be 4G capable and up here in Sussex County they use Verizon's network. If I'm not mistaken TracFone assigns a carrier based on your home location and what's the best coverage in your area. But I'm not sure about details. TracFone has been very cost effective for us. For the last three calendar years we've averaged $30/month for two phones, including the purchase cost of the phones we bought. Of course we don't talk endlessly, send hundreds of text messages or play videos on our phones, etc. But we can do everything necessary and a bit of fun stuff. And we're running Samsung phones from 2018, not the very latest. Compare that to what you find at Consumer Cellular and let us know.
  4. We're going to find out whether the cure (government response) kills both the virus and the patient (country).

  6. Some stories may be. These were two first person accounts. The two different women were stopped.
  7. My wife had a pedicure today somewhere in Sussex County. There were several customers and a number of stories about the police stopping vehicles after 8 PM, inquiring about why the drivers were out, and sending them home if they didn't like the answer.
  8. Attorney Joshua Prince in PA, vigilant as always, has posted this brief on the limits of the governor's power in the case of coronavirus. Note especially the section on firearms, regarding store closures and confiscation. I would love see a similar analysis on NJ law. "When you ask, I'm like putty in your hands. When you forbid, thou art barking up the wrong tree." Jess Birdwall, Friendly Persuasion
  9. Alright, that's no problem. I'll just exercise the Internet loophole like the Democrats all said I can and have the gun shipped to my house.
  10. FYI took four tries (with timeouts after about a minute) to load the first page this morning around 9:30. At the same time ping response from the server was excellent.

    Run On Firearms

Sounds reasonable, but be glad you didn't. All three big CC companies are down at the open, supposedly because retail business as a whole is going to tank with all the closings.

    Run On Firearms

Here's the view from Omaha Outdoors. "Despite what politicians and many in popular media claim, you can’t buy a gun online and have it shipped to your house." Hahahahaha! Yes!

    Run On Firearms

Well that may blow a hole in someone's budget.
  14. You may have a local bandwidth problem, but the site has it's own issue somewhere. I have run test comparisons on my single DSL line to it and other sites. To be sure it's not a big problem. But it's very noticeable intermittently.
  15. How's this for gouging? What will it cost when it's in stock? I never did like those guys.

    Run On Firearms

I'd like to hear feed back on that too. If I get some from my FFL I'll post it up.
  17. We've all seen the articles about firearm (and ammo) sales surging. I think this is preparation related, so I put the topic here. Obviously a lot of people thought they weren't prepared, or prepared enough. So yesterday I checked Gallery of Guns for a Glock 20 10mm. There were 21 listed in stock. Today I went back because I thought I was close to a decision, and there are 0 in stock. Called my FFL who located one at the third distributor she checked. Put a hold on it and then had to hang up the phone because of the line at the counter. Told me she'd have lots of stories for me the next time I came in. On the order of 'nuts'. Combined with the other posts in various threads, including NICS backups, it looks like for whatever reason the run is real. And local
  18. Just checked TSUSA and the cheapest 9mm 115 gr. in stock is .29/round. Two weeks ago it was around .18/round. A 61% jump approximately. Just like that. If you need ammo and your local FFL is not gouging, they may have better pricing.

  20. They explained that's the way the owner(s) want it and they're entitled to run their business as they see fit. I'll be shopping elsewhere.
  21. Murphy's live right now with a list of closures too long for me to list. Check the print versions when you can. He hasn't said the government is shutting down. Yet.
  22. At 1:18 PM today my FFL says NICS is 700-800 deep, and speculated that if the state shuts down NICS might shut down also. Would NICS personnel be considered non-essential? That's the question. And if they did shut down, for how long? And what would the backlog look like when they came back? I've got one permit to exercise before May 11. Now they've got me wondering if I waited too long. It's not critical, but I'll be pissed anyway.
  23. Yes, I know. I just couldn't resist the quote. So, how does the weight of the Special models compare to any equivalent Magnum models?
