  1. Great post, however this is NJ we are talking about. No doubt our left leaning NJ Supreme Court would uphold every aspect of this law.
  2. This tells me that there are a lot of stupid retired cops who should have gotten their permit. Not that they need it anyway, they are covered under LEOSA, yet NJ still thinks it can do what it wants on the matter.
  3. No, the goal is to effectively ban handguns in NJ. First off, the gun is only .22LR, second it requires a dongle to work and third the gun plus the dongle cost $1500, that's out of the price range of most people.
  4. I got news for you. There are very few politicians in NJ that support it. And the ones who do probably have little chance of becoming governor. And it doesn't matter anyway, the rabidly antigun legislature would never pass any such bill. Did you see some of the ridiculous antigun bills they are floating.
  5. When you have NJ politicians floating such ridiculous ideas as 5 round limits, home inspections and complete ban on any and all assault weapons, I don't hold out much hope that even with a high court ruling, NJ will ever issue CCPs to the common folk.
  6. What court would that be? Our liberal state supreme court? How about the US supreme court after Obama and probably Hillary fill it with gun hating liberals. You can't count on the courts to reverse any of the stupidity of NJ.
  7. The sad part is the PD has the capability to do an instant criminal history check on the state police network. Use of that for firearms applications however is prohibited in NJ. The state wants their cash, hence the slow and antiquated way it's done now.
  8. Good idea in theory, but unless the system is 100% reliable, 100% of the time, I don't want it.
  9. Seems plausible. I don't care how many people are buying firearms, there is no way a check that used to 10 minutes now takes 20 days.
  10. Why, your Driver's License information doesn't magically disappear when your DL gets suspended. You privilege to operate a MV is simply suspended. When you surrender your DL in court, you can simply go to DMV and get a ID only one with all your info.
  11. Yes, all that would be allowed would be person to person sales. Basically you would have to walk into a brick and mortar store, be identified and complete the sale. Since finding ammo in NJ is tough anyway, I see myself crossing the border to PA of DE for ammo purchases if this goes through.
  12. Mayors are politicians, just like the morons that sit in Trenton. They couldn't care less how much more paperwork their local PD will have to do, as it doesn't effect them.
  13. Correct, nothing will change. If you want to conceal carry in NJ, either become a cop or donate a few hundred thousand to some local politician. Short of that, plan on moving out of state as that is the only way you will be able to.
  14. hahahahaha, I serious doubt it. Besides, by then the court will be stacked with obama progressives.
  15. I'm thinking the end of 2013 as a more realistic time frame
  16. 7 rounds huh. 1911s and revolvers for everyone! What an ass!
  17. Democrats don't care. Look at every Democratic dream land city. They are all a mess. The entitlement voter base will continue to re elect based on race and party affiliation. Most voters are stupid and in the inner city, they are borderline retarded.
  18. You really think the public is going to boycott Remmington? Sure some will, but not that many to make a difference. And as I said, Military and LE contracts are key, as they are guaranteed profit. The same reason why you will never see Glock, S&W, Sig or H&K boycott either.
  19. Gun control is on the very bottom of voters concerns nationally. Dems and Obama think it's a big deal, most American do not.
