  1. I'm not worried about this at the federal level. There is however a real threat that this and even worse laws are in store for us in NJ. While the ridiculous 5 round limit probably won't fly, the 10 round ban could probably pass muster.
  2. When they start arming the TSA, be afraid. The TSA will eventually be mutated into the government's secret police force. As to what force they will use when it comes time to disarm everyone, think Blue Helmets as in UN peace keeper forces.
  3. Guns sales are on fire all over the country. The fact that they are backed up on applications doesn't surprise me.
  4. It passed the Senate today and it is expected to easily pass the Democratically controlled assembly tomorrow. Which means, it's as good as law.
  5. Protest all you want, lawmakers don't care what you or I want. They have an agenda and that is that.
  6. With all the talk at the federal level about gun control, I'm more worried about NJ. With all the postering and talk, I predict very little will happen at the federal level. There are still way too many pro gun supporters who will be worried about getting re elected. The NRA is also heavily involved at the federal level. NJ, well that's a different matter. Our legislature is predominately anti gun, one has only to look at what was introduced a few days ago. The NRA has given up on NJ and we can't expect any help from them. We are going to be in for a rough ride and while most of the country will probably be spared the insanity, we here in NJ will be not.
  7. What he was talking about was that he feels mental health, and violent video game and movies need to be figured into the equation as well. Until he signs new guns laws, he hasn't caved on anything. And just be happy he is there and not some ban every gun democrat we have running around Trenton.
  8. Most of these bills seem ridiculous, but since this is NJ. The Ammo bills and magazine restrictions will pass, of that I have no doubt.
  9. It's call supply and demand. If you want one, stop crying and buy it before even lowers aren't available. We are in a crisis here folks, get whatever you can get and pay whatever they ask or STFU.
  10. Any bill that is more restrictive will pass. any one that is less restrictive will fail.
  11. My prediction, any law that imposes more restrictions will pass, any law that reduces them will fail.
  12. Rising and unavailable. Ammunition to Go used to have pages and pages of 9mm FMJ ammo, now they are down to just 4 selections and it's all frangible ammo. JHPs are still available there though.
  13. They said it has a 50/50 chance of passing. If it does, expect other gun hostile states (NJ, NY, MA & CA) to try the same thing. While I doubt our Governor would sign such a bill (he has said NJ gun laws are fine) he probably won't be here too much longer. I don't have the same confidence in the probable Dem Governor who would replace him.
  14. Well the parent company, Gannett, also runs the Asbury Park Press, so maybe we'll see the same crap here.
  15. It most certainly will effect NJ. If the law states face to face sales and you take delivery of the ammo, you have broken the law. If a company ships you ammo, they are in violation of the law. It's why companies won't ship large capacity magazines to NJ addresses.
  16. Remember there is talk of banning online ammo sales at the federal level as well.
  17. This is NJ. I predict a crap load of new gun laws in NJ, none being beneficial to gun owners.
  18. And since NJ is not a big firearms state, finding ammo is not that easy.
  19. It won't effect NJ unless they say all states will issue. CC is already allow here, they just don't issue any permits.
  20. Unless it comes from the US Supreme Court, I am fairly confident NJ will never be a shall issue state.
  21. With the amount of people buying guns, I find that to be plausible. Believe it or not, most PDs have no problems issuing gun permits to non prohibited persons. And we don't like going through all the paperwork either, but we have no control over what this backwards ass state requires.
