Great idea. When I transport my guns over to a friend to store for me, who gets arrested? Me for taking firearms to an unauthorized location or him for possession of firearms he doesn't own? Probably both of us, right? -

New Gun owner Need Help on AMMO Question
Handyman replied to GFam's topic in New Firearms Owners Corner
Seriously. Imagine if hollow point bullet manufacturers imprinted "Low Penetration Safety Bullets" on their packaging. Hell, they should even trademark some ridiculous fancy name for the technology ("Penetrex"). Now imagine taking this box to the average low-information NJ legislator and explaining the penetration differences between a safety bullet and a FMJ. They'd be legal inside of a year. @Mrs. Peel is a PR guru. Save us, Peel! Only downside is the morons would outlaw FMJ. -
New Gun owner Need Help on AMMO Question
Handyman replied to GFam's topic in New Firearms Owners Corner
We need to stop calling these "hollow point" bullets and start calling them "safety bullets." If someone is doing shooting in your neighborhood, what do you want them shooting? Regular, old fashioned bullets that go through people and walls and hit other people? Or safety bullets that hit something and stop? We have to take over the language like lefties do. -

At a minimum, you'd have to shoot off a rest/sandbag for starters. And ? account for barrel warming as you shoot more ammo.
