  1. I got this version as well. Our other senator has yet to even respond. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. All typos courtesy of iOS.
  2. Those Vi vs Emacs arguments get way worse .... :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. All typos courtesy of iOS.
  3. If anyone is interested in carpooling from north jersey let me know. Conversely, if anyone has room in their carpool from north jersey, let me know as well (happy to be a passenger and chip in for gas/tolls -- willing to bring coffee/donuts as a bribe if you are willing to drive)
  4. What amazes me is how much traction this idea has within parts of the law enforcement community as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. All typos courtesy of iOS.
  5. Welcome from Livingston.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. All typos courtesy of iOS.
  6. This. Over 500 rounds of lawman through my new Gen4 G19 and and no issues so far. Easy to clean afterwards as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. All typos courtesy of iOS.
  7. I use a product called eWallet. Cross platform on all my iDevices, PC's and Mac's. There are others, but eWallet has a nice autosync feature. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. All typos courtesy of iOS.

  9. Love the Firefly reference -- best TV show of all time. Is your avatar pic "Bandit". Beautiful dog.
  10. great name, and a nice way to remember your mom as well. I'm still struggling with names for mine ... it's as bad as when my wife and I were coming up with names for the "human" and "canine" children.
  11. FWIW, I got a case 1K rounds of 9mm 115gr Lawman a couple of weeks ago from TargetSportsUsa in CT. I've only put 100 rounds of it through my Glock so far, but it seemed much easier to clean up afterwards than the Federal white box or CCI Blazer Brass I was using before. (Yes -- I'm one of _those_ people who clean after each range visit, it's an obsessive thing, and easy to clean is a plus for me). Most of the reviews/comments on the various ammo sites seemed to indicate that it fired cleaner than other brands, that's why I went with it. After about 500 rounds, I'll evaluate re-ordering another case or not. The price was pretty good as well (IIRC, it was about $220 for a case of 9mm with free shipping)
  12. 1. Application type (FID/permit w/ existing FID) Initial Firearms I.D. + 2 Pistol Purchase Permits 2. Police Department where you applied. Livingston Police Department 3. Name of the person you dealt with at the PD. Records Clerks and Officer Banzhaf 4. Time taken to issue FID and/or permit. 87 days 5. Documents required by the PD (aside from the standard application and the mental health release form). No additional forms at all. 6. Notes - anything pertaining to the application process. Officer Banzhaf always picked up the phone and returned followup calls the same day, and the two records clerks were very pleasant to deal with when submitting applications and picking up permits.
  13. I doubled up on my last range visit (indoors), and found it much better than over the ears alone. I felt a lot more focused and relaxed. YMMV But I'm not a fan of loud noise in general -- I make an exception for firearms. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks for the link. Pretty much sums up my feelings.
  15. It's to bad that the "withhold funding" logic does not work in reverse. I'd love to stop making tax payments because the Federal government passes laws I don't like.

  21. Congrats. I just got my first pistol yesterday, it was a G19 Gen4 as well. I was only able to put 50 rounds through it after purchasing ( I had no time left due to family commitments later in the afternoon). Have not cleaned it yet because I was waiting till I hit 200 or so. I'm jealous you got to do that on the first day. Did you change the back straps on yours? I have a medium hand but was shooting without any strap yesterday. I put on both the medium and large straps when I got home, and the large felt way better to me. I am looking forward to shooting that way next week. Enjoy the new acquisition. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Drat missed the tally! 47, been shooting less than 4 months ... ( total novice) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  24. Finally got my call after 12 weeks or so, hopefully picking up them up tomorrow.
