You could always go with a G34. Interchangeable magazines with the 17 and any open ended holsters will also fit.

I make kydex holsters and provide a forum member discount. I'd be happy to help. I need to get you a holster.

Is the XM855 legal in / sold in NJ?

Might as well get rid of your magazines then. Actually, you probably shouldn't have any firearm paraphernalia in the house at all if that's the case. -

Serious question? -
This. You'd be amazed at the difference in volume from supersonic to subsonic. And if you're using Jesse James' new suppressor than it's down to a dull whisper.... it's actually quieter than the bolt closing which, is pretty much sorcery.

Hang on, I'm removing my foot from my mouth at the moment.

Why do I even bother loading precision ammo? - Update
A-Tech replied to Old School's topic in Precision Rifle
I don't go crazy with .223 loads any more than your "generic" loads and I experience the same results. At one point I was slinging 1-2000rds down range every month and really didn't care about being micro-precise. Never changed that process and haven't seen a decline in accuracy so either I'm just lucky and have a great load by chance or, .223 is just that forgiving in my rifle. -
Night sights are not a competitive advantage. For competitive use, fiber optic front, black rear is much better. Also, 3.5# connector is not the same as 3.5lb trigger pull, or indicative of a smooth trigger pull and reset.

Dawson or 10-8 all the way. Spend the rest of your money on ammo.

Definitely need a riser. On a side note, whenever I see "cheek weld" I automatically assume "cheek weld Wednesday". Thanks Breach Bang Clear!

Cameron runs a good, informative class. He definitely has in to a science. -

What I meant was, what difference does it make what your errand is, or how little time you'll be out for? If I got milk AND eggs, would it constitute a bigger/higher capacity gun because I'm procuring more product? My point is that convenience doesn't change whether you're going to get milk or going out for the day. If you can put a holster on for one gun, then you can put one on for a different gun. I equate this to saying you don't need to wear your seat belt because it's only right up the street. The most commonly accepted theory is that you should be wearing the gun that you shoot best, with the highest capacity available. Maybe I'm missing something here. Please explain if I am.

I shoot my Baby Desert Eagle so good that I think it might actually be shooting for me. That said, I've been comfortably carrying it down in TN with a spare mag IWB for 4 straight, 10 hour days, of out and about. Until this afternoon, I wore nothing more than a sweater. I don't see a reason why carrying a 1911 couldn't be practical for some.

I don't think that any defensive gun use was planned as going to war. Going to get milk does not change anything from going out for the day. The likely hood of using your gun is slim but I'd like to make sure I have as much as I can carry. It's not like I would need to use it again after the initial use so justifying a lower capacity as just running one errand versus many does not make sense.

I'm down in TN for the week and have been carrying my Baby Desert Eagle and spare mag. I have to say, no comfort issues at all. I will add that I'm wearing a pretty comfy holster.

I'm a sucker for BBQ. Any joints I absolutely need to check out? Good info so far guys, thanks!

We talked about going there but I'm afraid if the weather stays it will be an icy wonderland

I'll be traveling down to Pigeon Forge over the weekend and staying for a week. Anyone have any advice or tips for the area? Yes, I will be enjoying my freedom to carry. I plan on spending some time in the smokey mountains if the weather breaks a little bit. Any good food joints? Something else worth checking out?

Not bad. There are a few things that could be different. Most notably, the trigger guard. You may want to relieve the tension around the trigger a bit. Having it molded with the trigger back can lead to an AD when holstering. Overall it's a damn good first attempt.

You cannot conceal a firearm as a non-resident in PA. Open carry is still legal AFAIK. When open carrying you cannot use any form of transportation other than your chevrolegs.

Eh, I share 15gb with my wife with just our two phablets on the new Edge program. We both use it to tether, watch videos, facetime/google hangout, facebook/instagram, youtube and forums. I had unlimited up until going to the edge program and I need the gigs. Paying monthly for both of our phones and the service comes out to about $160/mo because she has a discount through her job. Yea, she's my suga momma.
