Ok... the NRA's Wet Dream vs the Brady Bunch's Wet Dream of gun laws. As long as both keep at it victories and losses will be traded, but I believe you cant fight the statistics of voting citizens lawfully purchasing firearms.

Its like arguing against religious zealots no matter what division of faith. The brady bunch wields as much influence as the other end of pro gun owners that want rpgs and grenades to be legal to protect their rights. Its all about a happy medium and right now the pendulum is swinging back to favoring gun ownership.

Sad and tragic. I see only positive gun law progress in the news wire so hopefully IL and NJ will see their fill in the coming years. Guns ownership is way up and there's no denying the stats.

Im sure there are plenty of capable gents here that can walk you through the process rather then taking it to a smith. Give it a bit and im sure someone will chime in with the knowledge.

I would say anything priced beyond FMJs are inefficient and costly for paper shooting (if your buying boxes) never bought or heard of semi jhp but I know most jhp are sometimes near double the cost with no noticeable difference in range shooting. Id say keep fmjs for the range and some jhp for HD

Without jumping completely into the union pro vs con, I add the fact that both sides have pushed the positive and negative aspects of being unionized. While I dont think its fair that a non-productive employee cannot be removed without threat of labor lawsuits, there are a lot of businesses that would hamstring their employees without the protection of a collective bargaining group. There are still uses for unions, but with the positives also come the negatives as will all things (except cake, everything about cake is positive)

Im interested as well. Im looking for a spikes (preferably calico) lower to start to piecemeal an AR together. No sense in paying for FFL is someone has stock somewhere. Although from what krdshrk was saying inventory is hard to find in spikes as of recent. Not so much interested in the NJGF lower because im really drawn to the calico lower. yarrr harr!!

I hate the fake deadlines these shows impose.. Just like the home renovations, and American Choppers. Everything is blah blah blah, and then ZOMG WE ONLY HAVE TWO DAYS LEFT! Personally.. Id rather wait the extra week or two and get my gun, 50k renovation, or 100k motorcycle built in an orderly concentrated fashion not rushed.

I see whats happening here... take the two hottest markets on tv between NJ and Guns for reality shows (JerseyShore Meets Doomsday Preppers) and make the cast look like obsessive gun toting wiseguys?? fuggeda-boutit! Might as well say "We want to make you people look like assholes on TV!!!, please sign here ________" Please stop trying to exploit legal gun ownership as an obsessive, dangerous underworld that does nothing but get people killed, or portrays responsible gun owners in a negative light.
