  1. I just talked to he a-hole and he told me it was a fair and equitable article and I was just to emotional and sensitive to this issue. He said any "clear minded" individual reading this would see that he was fair to NJ2AS and that he was just telling the truth. He also told me Frank was happy with this article and had no issues with said article.
  2. Very sorry to hear about your loss, our prayers go out to you and your family.
  3. I second the M&P9. It has adjustable backstraps and low muzzle lift. My wife has small hands and the smallest handstrap fits her fine.
  4. Welcome. Depending on where you are located and which PD you went to, it can take anywhere from 30 days to 6-8 months to get you FPID card back. If you are going to buy a pistol you are also going to need a Permit to Purchase a Handgun. If you didn't request one at the same time as you FPID you will have to go through pretty much the whole process again to get the P2P. As far as suggestions for a pistol we would need to know more about what you want to do with it. Target shooting, competition shooting, or home defense.
  5. I agree with ValdG. There is something wrong and we are all to blame to some degree or another. We need to figure this out together.
  6. @maintenanceguy,: I agree 100%. The problem seems to be less thought is given to low confrontation searches and more to making a scene. This may not been true, but this is the perception that is being created by these actions. When the police can be much better equipped than the civilians it is wrong. It may be different in other countries, but in America we have every right to the same scale of weapons as lawful citizens as the police have. @jrfly3006: I think it was more of the police armed up to defeat the criminals they were facing and it was the politicians who used that opportunity to disarm the populace and use the police to control the public.
  7. Call the incumbents opponents and find out their stance. Tell them what you want, they may agree with you. Reach out to the NJ2AS.com and find out who they support. We as a group (NJ2AS) are reaching out to candidates and supporting those that are pro 2A. We are all trying to get Nikki Trunk in to oust Sweeney.
  8. I have just finished talking with Mr. D'Orazio (Senate) and Mr. Dieser (Assembly). They are both supporters of the second amendment and seem to support NJ gun owners. I feel these are the candidates for us to out the incombent anti-2A people in the 4th District. They are both willing to sit down with a group of gun owners to discuss the issues.
  9. I had problems with my PD getting me mine. They told me the holdup was the NJSP. I called Trenton and according to Trenton the request was received Feb 16 and returned Feb 19. This was mid-June I was calling them. When I called the local PD back, the story was changed to they misunderstood my question. The local Detective was backed up. Basically if you are not getting you permits it is the Local PD sitting on them till you bug them. My wife is still waiting for her permits and I got mine 4 weeks ago. She got a call last week saying he couldn't get in touch with her references. He left messages bu they did call him back. Supposedly her last contact called the detective Friday. We will see what happens.
  10. Yea, the "government" is getting way out of line. We need to start reeling them in.
  11. Well, then those children need more time outs!
  12. You know it has gone too far when you find out the Dept of Education has its own SWAT team. What the heck does the Dept of Ed need a SWAT team for?
  13. And there you go with another acronym, MOS. LOL!
  14. Here is their site for range resources. They have a course for Range Development. http://range.nra.org
  15. An Article 15 is "nonjudicial punishment." It's often called "Mast" in the Navy and Marine Corps. It's kind of a "mini-trial" conducted by the commander if someone commits a punitive offense under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), and the commander feels the offense is too minor to warrant a full-blown court-martial. It's best to think of it as a misdemeanor court, vs. a felony court (which would be more indicative of a court-martial). 1SG is a First Sargeant CID is the Criminal investigation department for the Army. Kinda like the Navy's NCIS.
  16. My wife and I applied for ours the same exact time. We went together. Mine were ready two weeks ago. She is still waiting. I called and complained about the wait, but she didn't. We submitted them Feb 11.
  17. That was a very good, straight forward and unbiased look at SYG.
  18. No, the local shop cannot collect sales tax. The local shop did not sell the gun to you.
  19. I applied for my last ones in the beginning of Feb and got them the end of June. So about 4 months, but I also called and prodded them along in June.
