  1. My thoughts go out to all the families. Unfortunately this further proves one thing and one thing only...when an individual crosses over and decides that they want to try commit mass murder; they will try and carry out their plan. Its not about knives, guns or bombs or whatever they have at their disposal. Everyday i drop my kids off at school and wonder can this happen here... Until someone can actually admit to the real problem and that its not the tool that they choose to use, this will continue to happen. Kids and adults are constantly crying out for help but go often ignored - there is your madness... My hope is one day that politicians will actually try and do what is right and not what is personal gain for themselves. I mean they all say that the kids are our "most valuable assets" but yet no one secures the schools cause that would be too much for the kids. How about evening the playing field? How about teaching any kind of defense for teachers? Because being a victim doesn't seem to work out to well. Let potentials know that the schools are secure and that if you try something you will be stopped. If we don't start investing to protect our "greatest assets" there wont be any.
  2. funny you point that out - i am a lefty and absolutely LOVE the mag release! its so easy for me to get around this gun.
  3. So i was looking for my first poly striker and went and got a Magnum Research MR9. As some may know its basically a Walther P99 in Eagle clothing. I really dig this one, its very ergonomic and the weight is nice. Just a joy to hold. I have big hands and ironically enough i have the small back-strap on it. Got about 100 rounds as of now and has performed perfectly. Its a great shooter. I also love the de-cocker feature on this thing. The trigger is nice, have to get used to it like anything new. Very happy with this purchase...now what to do with that last permit i have....
  4. I own a pardner pump. its great, i have no complaints at all. i did change the stock for a while, but wound up putting everything back to stock form. never had an issue with it, and it always goes bang. comes with a rail for the top if you want to get an optic or something. Most 870 parts will go right on - except barrels. but you can get those from H&R as they do have a barrel program. its a solid shot-gun, and would recommend for anyone looking.
  5. That's actually pretty cool.
  6. Cold shot - i have been playing for over 20 years now and have been in numerous bands and currently play out now. Have always been a Gibson LP guy and havea had 3 of them. Epiphone is a great starting point for a les paul type, but you will need to play a few of them to find a good one. If you really want to get into a LP type for under 400 look into Rondo music and check out the Agile AL series; mainly the 3000's or above. they are stellar. i have a goldtop that is amazing. they run from 300-600. build quality is above epiphones and rivals US made LP's. i have the les paul type and a SG type and they are great. i gig with them and they sound great. good luck in the search! http://www.rondomusic.com/ - AM
  7. not too bad, i waited an hour this evening, 5:30-6:30. could have been worse i guess!
  8. not crap at all. i was running a 4 power on my AR and had no issues at all. my friend has the same one his AR; again no issues at all. we go out to Fort Dix and have a great time. the only reason i changed mine is that i changed to a 1x4 to get setup for 3-gun. otherwise it would still be on there. Also have one of there red dots. for 49 i am not complaining at all. are they hit and miss? cant tell you cause my 2 purchases from them have been trouble free.

    Cheap 1911's

i have a magnum research 1911, and its fantastic. build quality is outstanding and its 681 last time i checked buds. cant say enough about this gun.
  10. nice! i really like that handguard!
  11. Well i thought about it and ordered a Magnum Research MR9!
  12. hmmm, tell me more! who does the kits? S&W or is it aftermarket?
  13. i just got 2 permits in and thinking about a magnum research MR9, M&P9 Pro in a 5" barrel but no one seems to have one!
  14. So i gots some new permits in and trying to decide on a new striker fire/polymer for myself for the occasional steel match that i do, and for 3-gun possibly. it seems that i can get my hands on more 4" models than 5" ones. So it go me thinking is it really worth the extra bucks to get for the occasional steel match/competition or will 4" be just fine? what say everyone??? thanks
  15. ditto, bought 5 of them to use with my DE 1911 and not one issue.
  16. i dig it, looks cool. what shell holder is that? looking to get one for my pardner.
  17. Just got one from buds a couple of weeks ago. had it out at the range one and love it. i have the HB with the 16" barrel. I had a red dot lying around so i mounted that and its great. i love the shorter barrel, it winds up being the same overall length as my AR. will try and get a pic up later on.
  18. Well i finally made it out to CJRPC for a steel match and had a great time! I am totally hooked and will be heading out again next month. I was a little nervous since it was my first time but the staff there was great and made me feel right at home. Everyone was incredibly nice and helpful. I Learned alot and i look forward to doing more matches. For those who are contemplating about going out to steel (or any match i would think), get out there and do it. I cant say enough to everyone out at Central Jersey, really nice facility and a great staff. cheers, AM
